This introductory sales position facilitates the sustainment of long term business relationships with resellers, internet service providers and smaller telecom operators by positioning TELUS’ core connectivity, mandated and next generations services supporting the customers’ go to market business strategy. In this fast paced customer-facing, revenue generating role, you will strive to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while promoting TELUS wholesale solutions to small and medium partner solutions accounts. The primary focus of the position is retention and growth of wireline and wireless offerings to an assigned account base and for new prospects leads.  As a junior Account Manager, you will represent TELUS inside of customer organizations, address customer engagements with the broader TELUS support groups and advocate for the customer inside of TELUS.

  • Quickly identify key decision makers, discover and address customer needs
  • Deliver best in class customer experiences and build strong relationships
  • Leverage TELUS’ virtual tools to actively listen to customers, complete needs analysis and present TELUS’ value propositions
  • Develop account base renewal plan and proactively engage to secure services long term
  • Establish outreach call plans and present relevant campaigns and promotions
  • Engage in proactive up-selling opportunity identification
  • Develop and drive new growth opportunities within the account base by levering internal sales and architect expertise
  • Increase coverage by targeting operational levels and handling ordering, implementation, billing and collection ssues
  • Effectively refer opportunities to collaborators where needed, and ensure a smooth transition for customers
  • Manage the sales and renewal process including clear understanding of the services and contract terms to close the opportunities
  • Provide insights and customer feedback to improve marketing campaigns and programs 
  • Embrace TELUS Premier Sales Organization practices and tools for success
     

What you bring

 

  • Bilingual English and French capability
  • Passionate about creating best-in-class customer experiences and a proven track record of cultivating and fostering relationships
  • Post-secondary sales or business education and/or equivalent sales experience, minimum 3 years B2B outbound sales or sales support experience 
  • Effective verbal and written communicator: Ability to build rapport, ask relevant questions, structure findings/recommendations and follow opportunity leads to arrive at positive outcomes 
  • Enhanced negotiation and problem solving skills. Able to handle objections, and identifying and addressing true objections
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate and bring to closure a significant number of initiatives simultaneously
  • Work effectively independently and virtually across time zones while leveraging functional team members
  • Experience with Client Relationship Management tools (e.g. SalesForce.com) and collaborations tools such as Google suite, chat and / or Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Knowledge of next generation services to facilitate discussion with customer on business opportunity
  • Understanding of telecommunication wholesale market and industry regulatory environment trends
  • Financial and contractual acumen
