Overview


The Global IoT Account Executive is responsible for spearheading global growth by identifying and partnering with companies that have set their sights on using IoT to grow their business – either with new products or by introducing scale and efficiencies to current products.  This is primarily a hunter role, focused on bringing in strategic customers to TELUS. You will work with partners at all levels of the value chain from strategic consulting and systems integrators. You will seek to become a trusted business advisor to your customers and prospects, with depth and expertise in leveraging IoT to simplify and accelerate a customer’s business. This will be solution-selling at its best, where you work collaboratively with your customers and prospects to build their business case for digital transformation.

 

What You will do

 

  • Act as the “CEO” of your portfolio, developing a business plan for your territory with a deep understanding of your market and customers
  • Listen to customers and understand their business, act as their partner in growth using TELUS solutions
  • Establish yourself as a subject-matter expert in Global IoT that your customer can rely on now and in the future
  • Commit to leveraging SFDC for strategic funnel management and forecasting
  • Establish TELUS as a leader in Global IoT in your segment
  • Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets with customers and prospects
  • Work closely with TELUS internal teams and partners to overcome challenges to serve your customer
     


 

Qualifications


Your ideal profile includes

 

  • Experience selling IoT in North America and or Globally, focus on complex solutions at Enterprise level
  • Technically savvy, as comfortable working with engineers as with business leaders
  • Natural problem-solver, compelling story-teller, confident speaker
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced competitive and dynamic environment; results-oriented
  • Comfortable with and committed to using CRM software – i.e. Salesforce
  • Knowledge of wireless products and services required, knowledge of Private Networks and MEC an advantage
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in an emerging market and creating a clear path forward

 
 
Professional certification and experience

 

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in solution selling related technology, ideally directly in IoT
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred
