We’re looking for a strategic thinker with a broad understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and a keen interest in winning large and complex cybersecurity opportunities. Reporting to the Director, Business Development and Technical Sales, you’ll lead a team of Complex Solutions Consultants that partners with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams to define the best solutions for our customers. Large and Complex deals are a key ingredient to our business success. In this role, your team will be leading these opportunities with the goal of increasing our win rate by delivering integrated Cybersecurity solutions that will meet both the customer’s and TELUS’ expectations.

Here’s what you’ll do in this role:

 

  • Lead and motivate a team of cybersecurity Complex Solutions Consultants in market analysis, customer insights research, technology assessments and trend analysis to identify customer needs, define solutions, build business cases, and complete financial analysis
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations to deliver a best-in-class customer experience using digital-first principles across all elements of the value chain
  • Lead your team in the development of opportunity pursuit plans by leveraging industry and customer insight to ensure TELUS has a winning sales strategy
  • Orchestrate and enable the creative development of large complex solutions that result in winning propositions to our clients that address their business needs, yet are profitable and support TELUS’ business goals and imperatives
  • Create and lead a diverse and highly engaged team that shares a passion for cybersecurity and supporting Canadian organizations

 

 

Qualifications

 

What You Bring

 

  • Exceptional persuasion skills which will be used to construct a convincing business case; express it clearly and gain consensus around decisions, plans and actions in relation to both the customer and TELUS stakeholders
  • Ability to manage, with cohesion, firm timelines in a high-pressured environment
  • The ability to speak the language of stakeholders at all levels, including the “C-suite”
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain effective relationships across TELUS and other organizations
  • Advanced presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage and translate objectives into actions, which are specific, measurable, and achievable with realistic timelines
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor a significant number of functions and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to grasp and apply technical concepts quickly
  • A proven track record of being capable of delivering tactical and strategic approaches
  • Technical knowledge of telecommunication services and solutions - asset
  • Effectively assessing and articulating competitive position vs TELUS’, can speak confidently to TELUS’ ability to support Sales Strategy, recommending alternatives as appropriate
  • Financial and risk analysis, business case development - asset
  • Business or technology-related University degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in successful consulting, selling or marketing of complex telecommunication or Information Technology solutions, ideally in a customer-facing role
