The Reporting and Analysis team is responsible for developing interactive visualizations and dashboards from multiple sources, providing actionable insights for the business. Our team consists of motivated business, data and performance analysts who share the desire to unearth the nuggets of information that support effective decision-making.


We specifically analyze performance data across all TELUS Health Virtual Care products and offerings (Primary Care, Disability management, Specialized Digital Therapy…) and support multiple divisions (Client Success, Marketing, Operations, Products…) while working with cross-functional teams and leadership. As the Performance Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for ensuring quality data structures for the analysis of data, use of proper statistical analysis, and implementing visualization best practices in creating content through Advanced Excel (power query) and Metabase.


You will be working with a variety of data sources to develop, and implement data and business intelligence applications to enable management and customers to make data-driven business and critical decisions.

As a Performance and data Analyst in the Reporting and Analysis team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining innovative self-serve reporting solutions that drive insights into the performance of all products under THVC in order to guide strategy and decision-making.


You are a subject matter expert proficient in enabling insights and analytics with technology. Your expertise in analytic platforms like Advanced Excel (power query) and Metabase along with your working knowledge of building data pipelines, tables, and views contribute to a mandate that allows our management and customers to unlock information that enables their decision-making.


You will be working with a team of talented analysts and data experts to build a self-serve reporting environment. In addition, you will assist our stakeholders in translating their needs into feasible and usable data solutions. As a builder, you will collaborate with a team of talented resources to build enriched dashboards and data pipelines to enable management to take guided and informed decisions to accomplish goals and produce desired results.

Here is how:


  • Develop new and innovative ways to present reporting insights, with flexibility for users to self-serve and drill into the data
  • Work closely with different stakeholders to articulate new KPI reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with data experts to actively manage the performance of the platform of visual dashboards and reports
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and data experts to enable a data environment that automates our stakeholders’ needs with the balance on efficiency and accuracy
  • Analyze and determine information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements and data output and reporting capabilities
  • Coordinate new data development, ensuring consistency and integration with the existing data warehouse structure


You must be comfortable working within a dynamic, cross-functional environment and be able to understand, and explain complex concepts, performance reporting methodologies, and analysis results to a diverse stakeholder community. Your familiarity and comfort with TELUS Health Virtual Care is desirable and you must be willing to roll up your sleeves and get close to the data.





What You Bring:


  • Post-secondary diploma / certification
  • 2+ years working experience in a market/business intelligence, database marketing and data-warehousing environment
  • Strong experience in leveraging MS office and Metabase to develop self-served dashboards and reports
  • Strong presentation, analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Ability to define scope, objectives, and prioritize work demands within a dynamic environment
  • Possess an innovative, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to learn quickly, be a team player, and manage multiple work projects
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for dashboards and visualization




  • Hands-on Metabase and MS Office experience
  • Knowledge of Virtual Health business models, measures and metrics
  • Deep experience with data visualizations and tools, preferably Advanced Excel and Metabase experience
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with large data sets
  • Ability to transform data into actionable insights
