Through our leading market positioning, we are supporting our clients from the beginning of the benefits plan enrollment with Flexit360 and we make sure that each plan member has their claim adjudication process conducted with care and efficiency with the most extensive provider network in the country.

As a Senior Strategy Manager you will play a key role to partner closely with the HBM leadership team to provide business & financial insights and recommendations that influence key decisions that will optimize capital management and resources, minimize risks, drive operational excellence, impact customer and team member experiences, and shape future business growth.
Your thought leadership, analytical process, innovative thinking and ability to bring different stakeholders together will help HBM identify and execute on opportunities that will help transform our operating business, deploy capital for modernization and drive cost optimization to power investment in critical and exciting growth areas of our business.
Here's How
- Support HBM’s financial planning and annual budgeting process and quarterly objectives, and inform HBM’s monthly triage process in partnership with Finance
- Drive strategic direction and outcomes by liaising and facilitating at all levels within our business and across stakeholder groups to gather, validate and assess business / financial requirements for projects to achieve successful, collaborative solutions
- Lead projects, deep dive business analyses / investigations and present insights and conclusions to VP and Directors to support financial and strategic decision making
- Responsible for developing, measuring and reporting on revenue growth /cost optimization in collaboration with business/product leadership
- Use data insights, business intelligence and competitive market trends to prioritize project initiatives
- Drive process improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes for continuously learning, analysis and enhancement
- Establish models and processes to support prioritization and re-investment decisions
- Collaborate with leaders across HBM to measure financial and KPI progress against both strategic and tactical initiatives
- Build materials that drive strategic interlock across the business and alignment on priorities and deliverables associated
- Offer insights and innovations based on collaborative sessions facilitated and working cross functionally in HBM and TELUS Health at large; drive alignment on decisions and execution on actions
Qualifications
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
- 8+ yrs experience within the group benefit industry in forecasting, underwriting, finance or management consulting focused role with experience in
- Business & financial forecasting, planning, pricing, analysis and reporting
- Program Management supported by strategic rationale, defined and measured KPIs, ongoing analysis
- Financial business casing and modeling including capital management experience
- Strategic engagement across multiple stakeholder groups to drive outcomes and decision alignment
- Experience providing business planning and financial operational support and expertise to senior leaders
- Able to communicate and present complex data & information in an easily understood manner, tailoring the communication to a diverse audience
- Recognized for your business insight, problem solving skills, project management, advanced analytical and financial modeling and business intelligence skills
- Energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment who is motivated to evolving business outcomes and customer experiences
- Ability to manage complex analysis, concepts and ambiguity across various business units
- Team player with a collaborative mindset with a track record of building and developing cross-functional relationships
Nice-to-haves
- Deep knowledge of Healthcare, Benefits Management or Insurance industry
- Bachelor-level degree in Business, Actuarial, Accounting or a related discipline
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and/or actuarial designation
- Project Management certification
