You will contribute to the team by performing the following

 

  • Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, customers, site personnel and outside vendors in a timely fashion
  • Ensure open communication to all stakeholders. Address delicate situations and handle conflicts in such a way as to maximize opportunity and minimize exposure to risk
  • Analyze SoW provided by CSA and flag any concerns or missing information to be corrected before initializing the design
  • Configure a customer solution from A to Z using multi-vendor platform based on a SoW
  • Provisioning and maintenance of Advanced CPE designed solutions
  • Document and maintain and update customer network diagrams, systems and configurations
  • Perform physical and logical analysis of client networks and its applications
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Support and diagnosis of technical issues involving Firewalls, VPNs and Routing
  • Technical knowledge in Telecom Network topics: MPLS, spanning tree, routers, Layer 2/3 switches, WIFI, VoIP, firewalls and UTM
  • Ability to develop automation using scripting languages
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that will meet the demand of our customers as required
  • Pager duty, after hours, weekend and stat holiday work on demand
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies

 

 

Qualifications

 

What do you bring to the team?

 

  • 7+ years’ experience working in a high-volume environment, with responsibility of network equipment, operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related Internet or IT business is required
  • Intermediate Technical knowledge in Telecom Networks: MPLS, spanning tree, routers, layer 2/3 switches, WIFI, VoIP, firewalls and UTM
  • Practical hands-on networking and systems administration experience, including experience configuring access routers and switches
  • Exceptional analytic and troubleshooting skills for solving problems
  • Solid knowledge of DSL and other connectivity services
  • A team player who can work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment

 

The below skills and experience are considered assets:

 

  • Juniper Networks ScreenOS/JUNOS/FortiOS/Cisco IOS and IOS-XR platform experience
  • ISP and/or 24x7 operations experience
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting and network management tools
  • Post-secondary education with a relevant degree or certificate program
  • Hands-on knowledge of Layer 3 protocols such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF and RIP and Layer 2 protocols such as PPP and STP
  • Technical degree, Cisco CCNP, CCDP; Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, Fortinet NSE and/or other networking certifications
  • Knowledge of VMWARE, Windows, Active Directory and/or UNIX/Linux/Solaris
  • Experience in configuration automation using scripting languages

 

Intermediate knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its international scope.
