Description

 

We are searching for a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate, results-orientated and has a keen attention to detail. As a Senior Strategy Manager within the TV Product & Services (OPUS) team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various strategic and financial aspects of the OPUS program.

 

What You Will Do:

 

  • Work in tandem with the various product managers and product directors across OPUS to develop the business cases and financial models to support capital funding processes
  • Manage the monthly submissions, reporting and governance of capital and opex spend and benefits tracking
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to monitor the financial performance for our TV products, including cash flow, profit & loss statement, and customer lifetime value
  • Review and report progress to senior and executive leadership on program financials and KPIs
  • Manage the bi-weekly cadence of the governance cycle for the TV leadership team (content creation, liaising with stakeholders, etc.)
  • Prepare detailed and insightful materials for executive presentations, including strategic analyses, financial forecasts, and business cases, to facilitate informed and timely decision-making
  • Unite cross-functional teams around a mid-long-term strategy; providing clarity on what outcomes the TV products are driving
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders at peer and executive levels with the ability to influence without authority to drive cross-functional alignment

 

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent collaborative skills, with a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams
  • Ongoing desire to be part of a fast-paced and exciting team focused on long-term planning and business governance
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills and thought leadership, who is known for producing efficient, clean and accurate content
  • Demonstrable financial analysis skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of budgeting and financial reporting (budget development & management, ROI modeling, cash flow fundamentals, etc.)
  • A natural ability to form strong working relationships and transform complex concepts into simple ones
  • Efficient organization and ability to manage multiple timelines and requirements
  • A strategic mindset, with a passion for out-of-the-box thinking and ideation
  • Strong business-ownership mentality, with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and step outside your sandbox when required, coupled with a strong bias for action
  • Comfort with ambiguity, leveraging structured thinking to break down complex problems into actionable workstreams
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data sources into actionable insights

 

Great-to-haves:

 

  • MBA or equivalent experience
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, or Technology
  • Strategy Manager role experience
  • Knowledge of TELUS cross-functional operations and/or industry experience

 

 

Salary Range:  $94,000-$142,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
