TELUS Health is looking for an Administrative Associate to join an amazing multi-disciplinary team in our Ottawa Centre.

Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, the Administrative Associate will be responsible for processing medical files, conducting patient follow-ups, data entry and a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

 

Here’s how

 

  • Process Occupational Health files including
    • Validate that all results have been received and coordinate files with the physicians to be reviewed and signed off
    • Process the files according to the specific protocol
    • Following up with patients regarding outstanding results
  • Invoicing appointments
  • Answer phones, client questions and schedule appointments
  • Prepare patient requisitions
  • Share Reception responsibilities with other admin
  • Coordinate off-site medicals
  • Complete data entry for patient Health Booklets
  • Perform other general clinic/administrative duties including scanning, faxing, photocopying, printing documents and maintaining tidiness in the clinic

 

 

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience working in a fast-paced environment, providing a high degree of customer service
  • Exhibits a professional image, mature communication style and polished manner with clients
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact while respecting patient confidentiality at all times
  • Exhibits strong work ethic and takes ownership to complete a task from start to finish
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrates effective organizational, multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Exposure to patient databases and/or scheduling software would be ideal
  • Fluent in French and English
