The Convergence and Signature Programs team is focussed on developing and guiding the execution of Digitization and Convergence strategy, aimed at simplifying and streamlining business processes as we consolidate Mobility, Home Solutions and SoD lines of business under a converged target architecture. Under this mandate, the team focuses on delivering signature capital programs for the organization in partnership with CMO, CPO, Channel, CSE, SMB and CIO leads. As leaders in the new capability delivery space, we also work with these teams to shape the Future Mode of Operations (FMO) and best practices for convergence delivery and sustained operations across our current and new platforms. We lead capital programs that progress convergence goals across TELUS self-serve and assisted customer sales and support teams. 


This team sits under the Business Convergence & Commerce team that is responsible for delivering exceptional business value through converged technology solutions that power key business priorities at TELUS across all lines of business, brands and segments. Together, we identify, prioritize, and execute initiatives to advance the Convergence roadmap, seeking opportunities to streamline capability builds across programs and achieve capital efficiencies.

We help TELUS teams identify and act on Convergence opportunities through driving end to end program execution including: capital allocation, architecture design review, delivery cost assessment, delivery coordination, change management, and go-to-market enablement processes.


As the Manager of Convergence & Signature Programs team, you will be pivotal in fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence within our team. Actively establishing and strengthening relationships with stakeholders across business and CIO, you will lead a high-performing team focused on business transformation through creation of technology strategy, capital program planning and execution. Your leadership will guide the team through convergence workstreams and cross-functional workshops, championing innovative solutions. This transformative role demands comfort with ambiguity, technical acumen, and a holistic understanding of business priorities, change management, and operating models. Your influence and coaching should cultivate a positive learning culture, ensuring team members thrive in their development.

Here's how

 

  • Facilitate senior leadership steercos for directors, VPs, and members of our Executive Leadership Team (ELT), balancing organization priorities with convergence goals and providing transparent updates on progress, goals, and scorecard metrics of transformational capital programs
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to define new operating models and best practices, steering teams through small-scale tests to drive broad adoption of innovative approaches
  • Defining opportunities for M+H business and tech convergence over a 24 - 36 mo horizon, expanding x-product capability use to exponentially increase business value creation 
  • Champion capital investments from concept and StratCheck through to capital planning and project delivery
  • Translating business priorities into tactical technology solutions with a prioritized 12 mo delivery roadmap interlocked x-functionally via a central intake & architecture process across channels & enabling teams
  • Manage an extensive capital portfolio, proactively anticipating and identifying risks, and effectively communicating issues with partners, sponsors, and senior leadership
  • Represent capital-funded initiatives, overseeing various TCS programs to ensure adherence to allocated budgets and delivery on the required scope/benefits
  • Provide direct support to a team of Strategy and Program/Product Managers for key capability deliveries that power strategic priorities for TCS, collaborating closely with CIO partners to design and deliver world-class customer experiences and products
  • Cultivate a positive learning culture, coaching and supporting team members in their development and career growth
  • Bridge the gap between technical and business partners to define solutions that drive exceptional customer and agent experiences
  • Create implementation strategies for new ideas, aligning program and platform objectives with user community needs

 

 

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • 5+ years driving strategic outcomes, especially related to technology architecture, platforms, or product excellence
  • Ability to develop and articulate succinct business rationale and robust business cases to support recommendations
  • Adaptive prioritization based on organizational dynamics, such as competing stakeholder priorities, budget constraints, and tight deadlines
  • Collaboration and influence skills for organizational change across diverse stakeholders
  • Experience with strategic planning processes, including capital planning, business cases, cost assessments, project delivery, and business process transformation
  • Excellent business storytelling and presentation skills
  • Strong people leadership and coaching experience
  • Experience leading large complex programs and high-performance teams
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, handle difficult situations, adapt to changing priorities, and tackle multiple projects and challenges simultaneously
  • High technical curiosity and business knowledge, quick to apply new knowledge in practice
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to getting things done
  • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking, challenging teams on their solutioning
  • Familiarity with TELUS or in-depth knowledge of the telecom industry is advantageous

Salary Range:  $109,000-$202,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  20%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
