As part of the TELUS Cybersecurity Professional Services team, Security Consultant II, Cybersecurity Awareness & Training supports client security phishing and awareness engagements.
If you possess experience in cybersecurity education and have strong working experience in developing and delivering effective security awareness programs, this role might be just for you!
Here’s How
- Develop and deliver engaging cybersecurity awareness training programs covering topics such as phishing, password management, safe browsing practices, email security, and social media awareness
- Support projects and client engagements by writing reports and preparing presentations, making use of your communication skills to explain security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Conduct phishing simulations and analyze results to identify areas for improvement in client organizations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices to ensure training content remains relevant and effective
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security awareness into clients' overall cybersecurity strategies
Qualifications
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle:
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on awareness training and education
- Passion for cybersecurity with talent for simplifying complex concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Experience in developing training materials and delivering presentations to various group sizes
- Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning content
- Strong understanding of current cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies
- Ability to analyze complex problems and discuss them in a simple, logical, and thoughtful manner
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, manage time effectively, with minimal supervision
- Experience working with clients in a variety of verticals and organizations
- Bilingual (English & French)
Nice-to-haves:
- University Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline (e.g., Information Security, Computer Science, Education)
- Professional certificates (CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+)
- Experience with instructional design methodologies, such as creating and/or maintaining training materials, including e-learning modules, videos, and interactive workshops
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- The successful candidate will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
