Description

Join our team

Saskatchewan agriculture is at an inflection point. The province generates over $21.5B in annual farm revenue across roughly 34,000 operations – many of them large-scale, mechanized grain and oilseed producers managing thousands of acres. These farmers face real, mounting pressures: volatile weather and input costs, complexity across multiple fields and systems, and the need to optimize every decision for ROI.

Decisive Farming is positioned exactly where Saskatchewan farmers need us. Our award-winning Farm at Hand software and integrated agronomy platform help commercial-scale producers make better decisions faster – consolidating fragmented data, delivering prescription planning tied to profitability, and simplifying operations across large acreages. Backed by TELUS, Decisive Farming by TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods is the trusted advisor platform for Saskatchewan's progressive farming community.

We're growing our presence in Saskatchewan, and we're looking for a driven Account Manager to build a territory in Regina and across the province – someone who understands Saskatchewan farming and can earn trust with the farmers and advisors who shape the region's agricultural success. This is a territory with significant whitespace – room to build a customer base, establish yourself as a trusted advisor in the region, and grow revenue alongside Decisive Farming's expansion.

What you'll do

As our new Account Manager you'll manage a growing territory across Saskatchewan, building high-trust relationships with commercial grain producers, mixed operations, retailers, and agronomists. Working alongside our customer success team and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll own the full sales cycle – from territory planning through closing deals and expanding customer value.

Sales excellence

  • Sell and differentiate Optimize RX, crop marketing solutions, IoT, and Sure Check to new and existing customers, targeting large grain producers, mixed operations, and agricultural advisors
  • Build an annual territory business plan, reviewed monthly with leadership, that identifies priority accounts and market opportunities
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts through the full sales pipeline, maintaining a strong closure rate and average revenue per account
  • Use Salesforce CRM strategically to forecast, track pipeline, and inform territory strategy
  • Work with leadership to execute corporate sales strategy while respecting Saskatchewan's seasonal cycles and market realities

Customer success and advisory

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to your accounts, helping farmers connect agronomic planning with measurable ROI and operational efficiency
  • Provide frontline technical support to customers (software navigation, file loading, troubleshooting)
  • Collaborate with our customer success team to ensure customers realize value and expand adoption across multiple products
  • Nurture and grow retail partner and agronomy advisor relationships, deepening their ability to serve their grower customers

Market presence and growth

  • Participate in trade shows, farm events, and community activities that build Decisive Farming's visibility and credibility in Saskatchewan
  • Develop and manage a promotional territory budget that strengthens brand presence locally
  • Build a network of anchor customers and influencers who become proof points for other prospects in the region

Together, these activities build a territory where Decisive Farming is known for trusted partnerships, consistent growth, and measurable farmer outcomes.

Qualifications

What you bring

Must-haves

  • Consultative mindset – genuine curiosity about farmer challenges and commitment to solutions that drive long-term profitability and operational success, not just short-term sales
  • Farm credibility – background in farming, crop input sales, agronomy, farm retail advisory, or another ag-adjacent role. This might be direct farming experience, working with crop inputs or seeds, advising on agronomy, or helping farmers through a retail or advisory partnership – the key is understanding Saskatchewan farming and farmer decision-making
  • Direct sales experience – proven track record of closing deals in a farm or agricultural business environment
  • Strong relationship-building skills – ability to speak confidently at the farm level, listen effectively, and earn trust with both farmers and ag professionals
  • Data-driven mindset – comfort with farm financials (accounting, ROI, margin analysis) and ability to help farmers see the business case for digital tools
  • Salesforce proficiency – able to maintain disciplined pipeline, forecast accurately, and use CRM insights to inform strategy
  • Organizational excellence – ability to manage multiple priorities, execute territory plans, and follow through on commitments

Great-to-haves

  • Sales training or certification
  • CCA or P.Ag credentials
  • Experience with farm management software, precision ag platforms, or ag retail advisory tools
