You’re a strategic thinker with an expert level skill for capturing business insights and applying them to learning and business decision opportunities for TELUS’ Systems and Tools team. This highly recognized team has a proven track record for building next-generation technology roadmaps and delivering best-in-class solutions. You will partner with peers, senior leaders and stakeholders to drive out transformational business opportunities using our Atlassian platform. Today, you could be helping us further develop our Jira and Confluence program across other business teams. 

What you’ll do


  • The Jira DevOps Business Consultant is responsible for supporting and automating the installation, configuration, integration and maintenance of the CNI Atlassian Suite
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in an “hybrid agile” environment to drive the right design and implementation of operational capabilities and tools required to manage the evolution of automation solutions
  • Support revenue generating and cost saving initiatives across business teams - CNI, NBO & CTE 
  • Work with development teams in system troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • Provide on-call support of operational issues when necessary
  • Produce documentation related to services, solutions and interfaces 





What you bring


  • At least 3+ years’ experience configuring, managing and upgrading the Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • At least 5+ years’ experience working in a DevOps or support team supporting large, enterprise level systems
  • Strong communication, presentation and client engagement skills; ability to understand and work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Hands on experience designing, creating and implementing business and governance processes 
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute initiatives aligned with broader business goals
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science, Information Systems
  • Hands on experience assessing business and technical options and presenting recommendations
  • Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements; preparing architecture diagrams, and documenting solutions end to end
  • Hands on experience leading and/or directing team members to deliver custom business solutions within the Atlassian product suite on agreed timelines
  • Ability to coordinate competing priorities across multiple stakeholder groups 




  • Experience working in matrix organizational structures in large enterprise organizations
  • Mulesoft and API integration experience
  • GSuite 
  • Prior experience operationalizing enterprise IT systems including processes, governance, and team resources
