What you’ll do:

 

  • You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams on use cases from areas as diverse as data privacy & security to health solutions to develop analytics and AI solutions
  • Champion data-driven decision-making and accelerate the adoption of AI within the organization
  • Automate and facilitate data exploration, analytics, and machine learning model development
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms
  • Build reusable algorithms, functions, and libraries to enhance data science capabilities

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • Hands-on experience in data mining, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in Machine Learning, Statistics and AI techniques such as regression, LLMs & prompt engineering, NLP, Bayesian analysis and optimization
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Expertise in Python and data science libraries like Scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy, and frameworks like TensorFlow, Pytorch, Keras and PyMC3
  • Strong SQL and data manipulation skills and comfortable with metadata and data discovery
  • Familiarity with Jupyter environment, IDEs, Github and Infrastructure as code (e.g., Docker, Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Understanding of software and AI development lifecycles, including ML Ops
  • Agile mindset and a courage to innovate and experiment

 

Great to haves

 

  • Master's or PhD degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Cognitive Science, or Data Science
  • Experience with agile methodology and startup environments
  • GCP and/or similar cloud certifications

Salary Range:  $104,000-$156,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
