Logistics is a fast-paced, strategic, and customer-first team responsible for delivering transformational business outcomes across TELUS and for our customers.  


We are looking for an action-oriented Manager, Channel Operations to join our team who can leverage their combination of people leadership, strategic thinking, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills to to lead and execute critical components of our overall business strategy.

Reporting to the Director, Logistics, you will lead a team responsible for driving transformational change and creating better customer outcomes. As part of this role you will regularly interface with and be expected to present to senior leadership and coach and mentor a highly motivated team.

 

Here’s what you’ll do:

 

Lead:

 

  • Lead and develop a high performing and highly engaged team
  • Nurture the personal and career development of team members to ensure they are well positioned to be able to support the changing needs of TELUS and our customers

 

Transform:

 

  • Lead the evolution of the Wireless Repair and Return program to streamline processes and reduce unnecessary cost
  • Lead the expansion of end to end support on order management across all lines of business - forward and reverse
  • Play an active leadership role in the development and execution of initiatives that will transform operating practices across the company, focusing over the next 12 months on a large-scale SAP implementation
  • Engage the team in continuous improvement to drive out inefficient work processes

 

Execute:

 

  • Introduce best-in-class supply chain management techniques and practices with a focus on disciplined execution, consistently meeting or exceeding internal customer and external supply market expectations
  • Lead team in supporting operational activities required to ensure reduced cost and lead time to customers across all lines of business
  • Work closely to support the implementation of strategic programs and collaborate with key stakeholder teams
  • Collaborate with internal business partners testing requirements and support for system releases
  • Deliver continuous improvement across KPIs measuring the service, cost and quality of our supply chain

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required experience:

 

  • Minimum 2-4 years of people leadership experience (leading teams of 5+)
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to story tell and deliver executive-level presentations
  • Functional experience in Supply Chain (3PL, Warehousing, Freight), Operations, Technology, or general business experience
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading large cross-functional and change management projects on-time and on-budget
  • Extensive experience in vendor management, with a focus on ensuring accountability and upholding contractual standards.
  • University degree

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, Extended Warehouse Management modules
  • Familiarity with Data analytics softwares such as DOMO and Tableau
  • Passion for sustainability, and growing the circular economy 
  • Experience in agile and waterfall project delivery methodologies

Salary Range:  $93,000-$139,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  20%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
