Who is Terrion?

Terrion is a telecom infrastructure startup founded through the investments of world class telecom and pensions partners. Our mission is to build the wireless networks of the future - towers, rooftops, and edge assets that power connectivity across communities and industries. The fusion of a bold, ambitious, and entrepreneurial spirit with the strategic maturity of industry veterans who will scale growth smartly and sustainably. We're a team that lives and breathes collaboration, innovation, agility, and ownership. These aren't just buzzwords on a wall, they're the driving forces that fuel our passion and confidence, and propel us towards extraordinary results. When we work together, think boldly, move fast, and take responsibility, amazing possibilities come to life. That's what sets us apart and makes success unstoppable.

As a Finance Manager supporting Terrion, this is your opportunity to shape the financial future of essential infrastructure in Canada’s rapidly evolving connectivity landscape. You'll manage a $2.5 billion portfolio of over 3,000 wireless towers that connect millions of Canadians, providing strategic financial leadership during our exciting spin-off from TELUS to an independent telecommunications infrastructure leader.

Here's the impact you'll make

  • Transform Canada's telecom infrastructure finance by establishing best-in-class financial frameworks that enable Terrion's successful transition from TELUS division to independent tower company
  • Drive strategic investment decisions by delivering real-time financial insights and performance analytics, empowering Terrion's executive leadership team, TELUS leadership, and Canadian investment partners to optimize infrastructure investments and maximize returns
  • Build scalable financial operations by implementing innovative tower monetization strategies, lease optimization models, and automated reporting systems that position Terrion for sustainable growth in Canada's evolving connectivity landscape

What you'll do

Lead financial operations and reporting for Terrion's infrastructure portfolio, delivering accurate, timely financial information to meet TELUS and Canadian investment partner requirements. Here’s how:

  • Financial Analysis & Strategic Planning: Drive monthly/quarterly reporting, revenue optimization, and cost efficiency analysis while leading budgeting, forecasting, and capital investment planning aligned with growth objectives
  • Business Partnership & Investment Support: Provide strategic financial analysis for tower leasing, network expansion, and infrastructure partnerships to enable informed investment decisions and value creation
  • Transformation Leadership: Spearhead process automation and scalable finance operations during Terrion's evolution as a dedicated tower company
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure IFRS & SOX compliance and regulatory adherence with robust financial controls for tower revenue recognition, lease accounting, and partnership distributions

What you bring

  • CPA designation with 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in telecommunications, infrastructure, or real estate sectors
Startup mindset with proven ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and pivot quickly between different functions and challenges in a fast-paced, evolving organization
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship management skills with experience influencing corporate leadership and external investment partners across multiple organizations
  • Strong acumen in infrastructure/telecommunications with experience in financial modeling, tower asset evaluation, lease agreements, and investment opportunity analysis
  • Complex problem-solving abilities to navigate regulatory requirements, dual stakeholder needs, and organizational transitions while delivering innovative solutions
  • Clear, influential communication skills including compelling storytelling and presentation capabilities for both TELUS leadership and Canadian investment fund stakeholders
  • Decisive approach grounded in data analysis with experience interpreting telecommunications infrastructure metrics, tower performance data, and partnership financial requirements
  • Deep SAP/ERP expertise with proven track record of implementing financial best practices and system integrations during corporate restructuring and organizational transformation

Great-to-haves

  • Transformation expertise in change management and financial process implementation during spin-offs or restructuring
  • Telecom specialization in lease accounting, tower agreements, right-of-way contracts, and Canadian telecom market knowledge
  • Proficiency with AI tools and financial automation for infrastructure reporting and analytics
