We are looking for an action-oriented Manager, Operations to join our team who can leverage their combination of people leadership, strategic thinking, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills to to lead and execute critical components of our overall business strategy.

Reporting to the Director, Logistics, you will lead a team responsible for driving the operations and working to create better customer outcomes. As part of this role you will regularly interface with our senior leadership team and coach and mentor a senior but motivated team.

What You Will Do:
Lead:
- Lead and develop a high performing and highly engaged team.
- Nurture the personal and career development of team members to ensure they are well positioned to be able to support the changing needs of TELUS and our customers.
- 3PL management of national and multi-site operations is a key responsibility along with transportation management.
Transform:
- Provide input to, and support the development of, the Field Inventory Management and Supply Operations strategy
- Play an active Leadership role in the development and execution of initiatives that will transform operating practices across the company
- Engage the team in continuous improvement to drive out inefficient work processes
Execute:
- Introduce best-in-class supply chain management techniques and practices with a focus on disciplined execution, consistently meeting or exceeding internal customer and external supply market expectations
- Lead team in supporting operational activities required to ensure reduced cost and lead time to customers across all lines of business
- Work closely to support the implementation of strategic programs and collaborate with key stakeholder teams
- Collaborate with internal business partners testing requirements and support for system releases
- Deliver continuous improvement across KPIs measuring the service, cost and quality of our supply chain
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table:
- A passion for customers and improving the customer experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate complex concepts at all levels, from front line to senior management
- 3PL Management experience & Transportation management
- Superior analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Track record of improvements through team member involvement, process simplification and effective leadership
- Strong understanding and experience in warehouse operations.
- 8+ years of equivalent, relevant experience, 5+ years in a Supply Chain role (latter, external hire)
- 2+ years people leadership experience (external hire)
- Bilingual in French language an asset
- Post-secondary degree required
- Professional Supply Chain Management certifications (e.g. APICS CSCP, SCMA SCMP) preferred
