The SIM team is seeking a creative, entrepreneurial, energetic, and bright candidate to join our team. You are technology savvy and pride yourself on staying abreast of industry trends. You'll champion the continuous improvement of SIM technology and remote SIM provisioning experience for TELUS consumer and enterprise customers. You'll also have the opportunity to take your talent farther and be innovative by working with car manufacturers, agriculture or device makers. You will get to work with a variety of teams and customers to enable new SIM services and functions, so a high degree of flexibility is required to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions.
What you’ll do
- Partner with the business team to understand current customer experience, identifies areas of opportunity and innovations
- Work closely with technology and product teams to ensure business requirements and future technology needs are addressed
- Work closely with SIM vendor to develop SIM/eSIM strategies and roadmap
- Develop and maintain technical requirements and test plans to address customers and stakeholders needs
- Work independently to drive new SIM/eSIM features and function through multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive SIM/eSIM product development
- Manage technical account relationships with the SIM vendors
- Lead definition and execution of new SIM/eSIM technology trials
- Serve as subject matter expert on SIM/eSIM and related platforms
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalent
- Technical knowledge of wireless networks and radio access technologies (4G, LTE and 5G)
- Technical knowledge of eSIM provisioning / activation, profile management
- Technical knowledge with MVNO operating model
- Technical knowledge of M2M / IoT and wearables
- Technical knowledge of industry test standards and certification processes
- Skilled at making presentations and great facilitation skills
- Ability to analyze data effectively to solve problems and support informed decision making
Great-to-haves
- 5+ years technical / functional SIM and device management experience with wireless / mobile
- 3+ years experience with technical eSIM architecture / eSIM operational planning
- Telecommunications experience in mobile embedded systems, core network and products.
- Technical knowledge of GlobalPlatform, GSMA SGP and TCA SIM and eSIM specifications
- Technical knowledge of 3GPP (5G/LTE/UMTS/HSPA) and ETSI standards
- Development and debug experience on mobile devices with SIM/eSIM support.
- Knowledge of Secure Element architecture and SIM alliance Open API.
- Previous experience working with SIM vendor and third party tools
- Experience with Google Suite
