The TELUS National Solutions Delivery Customer Program Management Office (NSD CPMO) team is passionate about providing best-in-class project management and support to TELUS Business Solution team’s largest customers. We’re not your traditional project management team. Highly motivated and driven, we strive to deliver industry-leading customer experiences. We focus on balancing TELUS’ operational constraints, contractual requirements, profitability, advocating for the customer and actively managing and enhancing program delivery.


What you’ll do


This position will provide you with broad exposure to various groups and members of our leadership team. As such you must have the ability to quickly develop relationships across the organization while contributing to a collaborative work environment. In this role you'll get:

What you bring


The successful candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter with an engaging leadership style, solid influencing and facilitations skills. You must have the ability to quickly develop relationships across the organization while contributing to a collaborative work environment and bring the following to the role:

 

  • Project Management Experience: A proven history of delivering quality multi-PLT/stream, large, complex programs
  • Strategic Mindset: Able to develop a strategic vision and correlating priorities to lead the team through delivery
  • People Leadership Skills: Ability to leverage the leader/coach model to drive a high-performance team culture
  • Financial Management Skills: Ability to capture and track project financials, reporting on status and measuring overall profitability
  • Operational Know-How: Operational best practices in service delivery, assurance and customer care
  • Compelling Communication Skills: Clear, concise and influential in all aspects of communication to various audiences
  • Decisive Nature: Ability to analyze data to make decisions and problem solve to align with the corporate strategic vision
  • Love of a Fast-Paced Environment Driving Innovation: Comfortable leading in a continuously changing, dynamic environment including digital innovation projects
  • Thrive on Ambiguity: Provide clarity to successfully navigate and lead through areas of grey


Additional Requirements

 

  • Undergraduate degree in one of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Engineering or Technical Discipline or equivalent 7 - 10 years’ equivalent experience
  • PMP designation or 10 years’ program and/or project management of major, complex engagements managing cross functional programs and stakeholder groups
  • A disciplined approach to ensure strong project financial controls to manage revenue, margin, and capital spend aligned with the business case
  • Demonstrated knowledge of TELUS wireline and/or wireless products and supporting fulfillment processes
  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies, principles and practices
  • Security clearance: Candidates must have, or meet, Provincial and Federal security clearance requirements
  • Ability to travel
  • Bilingualism (English/French) required to support French projects and customers in Quebec


Great-to-haves

 

  • Certified Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, ITIL & Own.it certifications, or equivalent designation an asset
  • Experience with public sector customers is desirable
