We do this using ConnectAnywhere, our advanced cloud-based monitoring system, coupled with our suite of in-field data collection devices and applications. Our solution gives our clients detailed, real-time and historical data required to make the best operational decisions. 

 

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together 

 

As a member of our Product Team, you will play a critical role in the development of in-house telematics products which provide the foundation of our ConnectAnywhere™ solution. You’ll work within our product team and be actively involved in requirement gathering, UI and UX research, prototyping and providing end user perspective to our interface.

 

Here's how 

 

A day in the life will include many of these critical actions:

 

  • Gather user requirements and define use cases and user stories
  • Produce high quality UX designs through wireframes, flow diagrams, site maps and functional prototypes
  • Design graphics and user interfaces with elements like menus, tabs, widgets etc
  • Actively participate in user acceptance testing and effectively communicate the findings to ensure requirement compliance
  • Conduct research and apply design thinking skills to help translate business challenges into design solutions and produce sketches, wireframes and prototypes
  • Work closely with the engineering and sales team and actively participate through each iteration to incorporate any changes identified
  • Strive to continuously improve the user experience of the product
     

 

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle 

 

You are likely in a similar software development role, today, with many of the experienced points and skills, below:

 

  • You have a knack for learning new technologies quickly across a wide variety of technical areas
  • You are known for your analytical mind, capable of solving technical and process related problems
  • You have an ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas to members of the development team, and to members of the company as a whole
  • You have experience with and delight in designing customer focused, intuitive and easy to use interfaces to present large volume complex data
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in gathering requirements and designing user interfaces, preferably in a tech company with an agile environment
  • Hands-on experience with industry standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, JustinMind, Adobe or Proto
  • You have at least basic knowledge of HTML5 and JavaScript
  • You possess a solid understanding of user research, design practices and frameworks

 

Great-to-haves 

 

We are especially excited to connect with people who have experience with any of the following:

 

  • A portfolio demonstrating responsive websites featuring user flows
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of a vehicle electrical system, including OBD-II and/or J1939 communication protocols
  • AVL, fleet telematics, or IoT
  • A degree in Computer Engineering or related technical training or certification
