We are currently seeking a graduate in electronics, telecommunications, or computer science, OR with experience in IT network management and / or in cellular and transmission systems operations. This role requires autonomy as well as strong time management and prioritisation skills. The nature of this position involves flexible and variable hours. Several activities related to this position must be performed when the network is least in demand, so very often during nights. Responsibilities:

 

  • Site management: ensure systematic maintenance of all network elements including environment elements and data transmission, cellular or data services
  • Network equipment troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Plan, document, and execute network equipment changes requiring service interruptions and multiple resources coordination
  • This position requires 24 X 7 scheduling flexibility (on-call rotations)
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third-party partners that will provide standby support for additional maintenance activities
  • Ensure service and maintenance of vehicles and equipment for which you will be responsible for

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required skills and abilities:

 

  • Valid driver’s licence and flawless driving record
  • Ability to work independently with minimum level of supervision
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Bilingual (French and English) and strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experienced with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, ...)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment in constant evolution
  • Ability to work independently with equal emphasis on collaboration with a closely knit team
  • Must be available during variable and flexible hours
  • Must be available for occasional travel

 

Required Professional Designation / Certification :

 

  • Technical diploma in electronics, telecommunications or computer science OR relevant professional experience

 

 

Basic knowledge of English is required because you will on a regular basis  as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
