As a Business Development Manager, Residential Smart Communities, you will offer innovative integrated Smart Building automation & security solutions to a wide range of multi-site developers & property managers across Canada. You will partner with developers and property managers to create vibrant & intelligent spaces to live, work, and play.  You will be a trailblazer in this fast-paced and ever changing Smart Building landscape.


This is a unique business development and sales role, focused on identifying and developing complex opportunities in residential buildings and mixed use buildings, while driving & building strategic alliances and partnerships. The challenge is significant and so is the reward. You will be joining a team of game changers motivated by offering excellent service and driving substantial benefit to your customers by leveraging TELUS’ industry leading Smart Building & Communities technology.





You are the missing piece of the puzzle


You are likely in a similar sales or business development role, today, with many of the experience and acumen points below:


  • Strong business acumen, sales and negotiation skills and ability to influence the decision making process. Bonus if previous sales or business development experience is residential or commercial real estate and/or technology industry
  • Exceptional ability to build strong C-level relationships and truly understand the needs of your customers 
  • Storytelling & superior communication skills - whether you are walking into a room to present to the CTO & CEO of a local development firm, or speaking to a building’s property manager, you can speak with confidence and ease 
  • Excited by innovation, IoT, and connected solutions of today, as well as the future 
  • Knowledge & experience in the residential multi-dwelling unit space - whether working with developers & property managers, or being one yourself in a previous role 
  • Experience in the development and administration of strategic account sales plans
  • Customer focused approach, with an understanding that every decision impacts the customer and developer experience
  • Security industry experience is a bonus (access control, intrusion detection, CCTV products and concepts)
  • Own a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license
