TELUS Small and Medium Business (SMB) is one of our fastest-growing divisions, and we're seeking an Account Manager to serve businesses with 30-100 employees. In this hunter-focused role, you'll be the face of TELUS, building meaningful partnerships and architecting tailored technology solutions across our complete portfolio—mobility, internet, VoIP, and security.
You'll combine sales strategy and execution to drive revenue through multi-product solutions while exceeding client expectations and sales targets. How you will succeed:
- Drive new business acquisition (60% focus) through cold outbound prospecting and lead
qualification - Identify and execute cross-sell opportunities (25% focus) across the TELUS product suite
- Maintain robust pipeline management (15% focus) with 3x coverage against quota
- Deliver exceptional customer onboarding and build C-level relationships
- Follow TELUS Solution Selling framework: Discover → Diagnose → Design → Deliver
- Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and forecast management
- Generate customer referrals and case studies to fuel pipeline growth
- Maintain accurate CRM data and activity tracking
- Meet monthly revenue targets across multiple product categories such as mobility, internet, VoIP
and security
Qualifications
What you will bring:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in telecom, SaaS, or technology sectors
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding quotas (top 25% performer preferred)
- Experience selling to SMB decision-makers (Owners, CEOs, IT Directors)
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with sales engagement platforms and virtual presentations
- High-level of urgency and strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
- Business acumen and understanding of SMB technology needs
- Executive presence and ability to influence C-level stakeholders
- Resilience and persistence through challenging sales cycles
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
- Telecom industry experience and existing SMB network (preferred)
