The Telus Health Exchange (THX) is a technology platform that allows for the connection of both TELUS and 3rd Party systems to deliver a wide array of new tools to Canadian healthcare. 

 

The THX team is a growing and dynamic team of doers and problem solvers responsible for product management and partnerships.  We working cross-functionally with TELUS teams and externally with our partners and customers to bring multiple health e-services to Canadians.

 

The Senior Business Analyst will work with the THX Product and Development teams to design core THX interfaces for our e-services products and our internal and external partners. The successful candidate will support the Product Manager to expand our integration capabilities


 

Here's how

 

  • Intake new product requests for integrations to the THX, following the intake process
  • Perform analysis on the requests, establishing high level designs and costing
  • Present the designed to the Functional Design Group for feedback and assessment
  • Perform analysis and assessments to identify operational trends, root cause product or operational issues, and provide recommendations for resolutions or improvements
  • Assist with or own project planning and execution for the implementation of new features across environments to the customers, customer change management, and/or operational readiness
  • Support other product launch activities such as developing and documenting operational processes, and project managing the operational readiness activities
  • Work with other team members to gather and communicate product requirements across teams
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to create and maintain user stories to guide development and testing
  • Initiate and/or lead process improvement initiatives for both product and operations projects 
  • Drive collaboration across to product, operations, technology, vendor and clinical teams

 

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • University Degree in the Health Sciences/Computer Science and/or 5 years of equivalent work experience in an analyst or project management role
  • A history of participating in integration projects - complex integration requirements, design and development
  • Knowledge of data mapping, end point design, designing API’s components for broad reuse
  • Strong presentation skills; ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms; ability to teach concepts or software use 
  • Exemplary leadership & ownership -  proven track record leading and delivering complex projects/activities as the accountable prime 
  • Solid project management skills and experience:  creation, management, and execution of a plan, facilitating a group, tracking risks and issues, communicating status at various levels
  • Strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) capabilities and attention to detail/quality
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, perhaps using Excel or Tableau
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with external client stakeholders
  • Strong documentation and writing skills to create customer facing material
  • Able to work cross functionally, and lead through influence
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, and can work independently to support quality and results with directional guidance
  • Focus on finding collaborative solutions rather than listing problems
  • Strong team player and with strong interest in taking on new challenges
  • Desire to work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • API integration design experience
  • Canadian Healthcare technology industry experience 
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of the product development lifecycle
