This role sits at the center of TELUS Customer Technology Excellence (CTE)  strategy. The individual is responsible for supporting critical strategy development, strategic implementation measurement & key high priority strategic programs that are focused on improving customer experience, lowering costs & driving value generation.

Your ability to simplify complex narratives into a powerful story for all audience levels is unmatched. Your natural ability to form strong working relationships and transform the complicated into simple is underpinned with your strong Google suite skills.  As the successful candidate, you have diverse and broad skills, are flexible in nature and can navigate through ambiguity using a programmatic approach. 

Here’s how


  • Strategy development & measurement: you will proactively seek to understand and evolve our strategic priorities to drive success in our short to long term strategy planning
  • Promoting innovative ways of solving problems: you will be relied upon to surface opportunities for CTE to drive improvements on behalf of our customers, team and strategy
  • Culture & structure: with your strong strategic track record you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure our culture, structure, resources, and scorecards are aligned to our strategic imperatives
  • Presentations & storytelling: your ability to draw out and distill complex and/or ambiguous business updates into succinct insights for executive presentation material drives effective communication at levels connecting programs to business objectives
  • Portfolio management: we will look at you to support various strategic development ad-hoc requests from the leadership team and key stakeholders





You’re the missing piece of the puzzle


  • You are fascinated by long-term strategic planning, the future state of technology and you have a deep interest in the evolving expectations of consumers
  • You have 4+ years of working knowledge of strategic planning methodologies, measurement tools and an understanding of telecommunications, or a broad background in technology would be equally advantageous 
  • You have outstanding skills in drafting change management/communication plans, bulletins, presentations, speeches, and other documents
  • You should have a high degree of confidence working directly with VP, SVP level and higher, as you’ll be distilling presentations and talk notes to a “C” suite audience
  • As such, it’s a given that you’ll have strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships and the ability to handle multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively
  • An important facet is the ability to demonstrate structured thinking and application to solve problems, as well as an analytical mindset and strong critical thinking skills


Great to haves:


  • University degree in Business or other relevant field
  • MBA certification
  • Workshop facilitation skills and experience
