We are seeking a Business Continuity Specialist to join our team and support the development and management of the Operational Resilience program for TELUS Health which includes Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Response. As part of the Operational Resilience team you will work with a small team that works collaboratively to meet its mission of ensuring that TELUS Health's people, services and customers can continue to operate no matter what kind of threat is faced. What you’ll do
- Assist in developing and maintaining an up-to-date resilience program, including policies, procedures, and plans, in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Review and ensure Resilience Recovery Policy compliance & maintenance
- Oversee & facilitate the development of recovery plans and Business Impact Analysis
- Report on corporate resilience posture
- Responding to related RFP/ RFQ/Customer inquiries/questionnaires
- Provide support for annual Audits
- Provide guidance on planning/strategy as a SME
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization's operations, systems, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans for critical business functions and systems
- Coordinate and facilitate regular training and awareness programs to enhance the organization's preparedness and response capabilities
Qualifications
What you bring
- 3-5 years of experience in Business Continuity Management including program management, planning techniques for business recovery including pandemic planning, mitigation and incident (crisis) management experience
- 3-5 years of experience in DRP Planning including disaster recovery techniques and technologies
- Proven project management skills, consulting skills and work in crisis situations
- Possess a strong sense of curiosity, are proactive, and demonstrate a proven ability to take initiative
- Able to define an approach, seeking support and feedback from team members, and ensuring objectives are met in line with expectations
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Skilled at navigating complex scenarios and prioritizing tasks effectively in a dynamic and changing environment
- Comfortable with ambiguity, you are able to adapt, make adjustments and maintain focus and positivity through change
- A natural team player who proactively supports others in their growth and development, helping to build a strong and supportive team
- Able to work with and lead conversations with a wide variety of teams
Great-to-haves
- Familiarity with security policies (NIS2, ISO)
- Experience with conducting and leading Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its national scope.
