As part of the Content CoE team, the Content Operations Manager will bridge the gap between our content practitioners, processes and programs in order to ensure frictionless planning, prioritization, production and measurement of our content on telus.com.

 

Reporting to the Manager – Content Centre of Excellence (CoE), this role will play a critical role in spearheading strategic corporate change management initiatives, championing scalable and automated content solutions that enable us to create content quickly and efficiently, and improving our content practitioners ability to keep up with the pace of the organization through the introduction of new tools and optimization of processes and workflows. This role will ensure that we are constantly evolving as a practice and focuses on installed throughout the organization through effective change management and collaboration.
 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Content Tool(s) Review and Analysis: 
     
    • Identify, review and recommend the use of new content (and other cross-collaborative) tools to the Content CoE team that will pave the road to automation and help our teams scale
      • Knowledge about tools like Siteimprove, Writer, Ditto, Figma
      • Assisting with the acquisition processes of new content/CoE tools
      • Helping with the preparation and presentation to security and review boards (like Security By Design (SBD) / Privacy Impact Assessment)

 

  • Content Health and Measurement
     
    • Working in collaboration with Content Principal and Content Strategy Lead to define an automated way to measure content health across t.com, This will include pulling in metrics from Siteimprove, Writer and potentially Contentful for both existing and new content

 

  • Change Management and Project Leadership: 
     
    • Responsible for developing comprehensive change management plans and communications that would help ensure necessary changes are implemented thoroughly, smoothly and clearly
      • Experience facilitating training and workshops
      • Partnership with our Change Management Team
      • Presenting to executive level and up for buy in on strategic initiatives

 

  • Content Workflow and Process Optimization: 
     
    • Understand the Content Strategy end-to-end process from discovery to delivery, identify gaps and offer strategic recommendations to the Content CoE leadership team for approval/buy in Key tasks include: 
      • Upgrading TELUS Digital’s French end-to-end content strategy and translation services 
      • Evaluating and optimizing our current content workflow across TELUS Digital
      • Facilitating training sessions and workshops to encourage more digital standards adoption across our teams
      • Overall, identify gaps, opportunities, and ways to increase content scalability

 

  • New Program Rollout:
     
    • Offer strategic counsel and assist with the roll out and implementation of net-new key program initiatives program
      • Effective project management 
      • Developing business cases for the team
      • Drafting key strategy documents
      • Develop standardization documentation

 

  • Strategic Partnerships:
     
    • Working with multiple stakeholders and managing viral partner relationships across TELUS with the goal of influencing positive change
      • Partner with our developers to build solutions using internal and external tools, and help translate content challenges into content assets
