Description
Are you a master of the "short and sweet" who also knows their way around a CMS? Koodo is looking for a Copywriter & Content Manager to join our team. This is a unique hybrid role designed for a creative storyteller who isn't afraid to get under the hood. You’ll be responsible for crafting the fun, customer-first voice that Koodo is known for across our digital ecosystem—from high-traffic homepages to promotional banners—and then physically bringing that content to life by managing the upload and deployment process.
The Role
In this dual-focus position, you will bridge the gap between creative ideation and technical execution. You aren’t just handing off a Word doc; you are the architect of the final digital experience.
- Creative Execution: Write punchy, persuasive copy for splash pages, homepage tiles, and promotional banners that drive conversion and brand love.
- Balance Marketing Copy vs. Self-serve: Write and develop support content for our customers that is technical but ultimately easy to digest.
- Content Management: Take ownership of the end-to-end publishing workflow. You will upload copy and imagery directly into our systems, ensuring everything looks pixel-perfect.
- Evaluate current processes with aims to optimize: You’ll understand how the right processes can improve our output - and strive to implement any recommendations
- Sales Integration with an E2E vision: Develop content for both general sales initiatives and End-to-End user flows, ensuring Koodo’s value propositions are clear, competitive, and on-brand.
- Quality Assurance: Audit live content for accuracy, broken links, or formatting issues, maintaining a high standard of digital excellence.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in digital copywriting, content management, or a similar hybrid role.
- Portfolio: A strong showcase of digital-first copy (banners, landing pages, or UI text).
- Industry Asset: Previous experience in Telecommunications (Telco) is a major plus—you understand the pace and the "plan-based" nature of the business.
Software & Technical Knowledge
- Google Suite: Expert proficiency in Docs, Sheets, and Slides for collaboration and tracking.
- CMS Expertise: Proven experience working within a Content Management System to upload and format digital assets.
- Contentful: Experience with Contentful is considered a significant asset.
- Asset Handling: Basic understanding of image dimensions and web-formatting requirements for digital uploads.
