TELUS Digital is looking for an agile practitioner who will support initiatives that help drive change across the organization, increase productivity, improve product quality, and favorably impact the overall team member experience.

 

In this role, you will be accountable for running and improving the system of delivery in My TELUS. Within the My TELUS portfolio, you will also be responsible for optimizing delivery schedules, ensuring capacity estimation, managing budget and working with scrum masters in our squads to track progress. Partnering closely with the Organizational Change & Agility team will underpin your success and ability to foster and sustain better ways to work, think, and behave.

 

Here’s how

 

  • Facilitate and run cross-portfolio forums with POs, PMs, Manager, and Directors to create roadmap visibility, drive interlock, map out dependencies, prioritize effectively, and curate trade-off conversations (e.g. SoSoS)
  • Enhance Agile Delivery
    • Define what we mean by “excellence” in terms of agile delivery and ways of working; develop a pragmatic way to get there through collaboration with key teams
    • Enhance agile delivery maturity and provide hands-on assistance in the following areas
      • JIRA taxonomy, hierarchies of initiatives, epics, features, stories, tasks, etc
      • Identify and codify best practices
      • Provide targeted assistance in squads or portfolios where maturity is low
      • Document standards and guidelines on Confluence
      • Coaching on product slicing
  • Collaborate with the Digital Operation System team and elevate TELUS Digital’s measurement capabilities; embed a practice of performance reporting and analysis within delivery teams
  • Oversee and report on TELUS Digital’s global metrics around ways of working and turn data and reporting into insights, hypotheses and actionable plans (e.g. delivery status)
  • Create and maintain a continuous improvement backlog to strengthen agile practices and collaborate with Scrum Masters, POs, PMs and delivery teams to agree, prioritize and implement them (e.g. via existing CoPs)

 

 

Qualifications

 

Your ideal profile includes

 

  • Being a big systems thinker with the ability to see the big picture and identify solutions to complex challenges at all levels to influence change
  • Extensive experience in a Scrum Master, Agile Program Manager, Agile Enabler role in a fast-moving, digital environment
  • A proven track record of improving business agility and supporting business change ambitions through the application of Agile and Lean principles and practices (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Experience leading and coordinating across multiple Agile and Lean software delivery projects
  • Proficiency with a range of Agile tools (e.g. JIRA, JIRA Advanced Roadmap, Confluence, Google Data Studio)
  • Excellent coaching, facilitation and communication skills and the ability to manage tough conversations head on
  • Exemplified leadership empowering and mobilizing Agile and Lean communities of practice
  • An implementation-oriented mindset; focused on delivering and executing continuous improvement opportunities
  • The ability to lead by influence and drive work across multiple teams, departments and organizations
  • An analytical mindset; the ability to turn data into actionable insights
