This role is an influential and important role that works directly with the TELUS Health leadership team and collaborates closely across the entire TELUS organization including TELUS Business Solutions, TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods, TELUS Digital. Reporting directly to the President of TELUS Health. You will be creating strategic insights and recommendations that empower the team to make informed decisions and elevate TH revenue, profitability while ensuring our laser focus on customer experience and team member engagement. This includes driving, measuring and monitoring performance on key strategic initiatives for the TH organization.
What you’ll do
- Lead the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives across TELUS Health, ensuring performance measurement and monitoring through established planning processes and key metrics reporting
- Implement and drive the TELUS Health annual Operating Model calendar including KPI Bowlers, Monthly Operating Reviews, Product Road Map reviews, Quality Reviews, and others
- Drive strategic insights and recommendations to elevate TELUS Health's revenue and profitability, maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and team member engagement
- Oversee strategic planning activities, including Strat Check sessions, and provide executive-level reporting, analysis, and compelling materials to inform key decisions and showcase the business's value proposition
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across all teams in TELUS Health including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Delivery and Operations to ensure strategic alignment, optimal resource support, and drive continuous improvement of business processes and practices across TELUS Health
- Lead select programs and business initiatives focusing on achieving revenue and profitability growth
- Build relationships across the organization in a Chief of Staff function, ensuring the team is tracking against strategic priorities with a continuous customer-first mindset
Qualifications
What you bring
- Deep experience and knowledge of TELUS and experience addressing enterprise-level, external-facing strategic issues
- Prior experience in a strategy consulting firm or internal corporate strategy group
- Strong people leadership skills and experience leading teams
- Exceptional communicator, influencer, and negotiator, able to build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including at the VP and above level
- Ability to communicate complex or technical concepts and ideas in a clear, easy-to-understand manner to a variety of audiences including senior leaders
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to strategize and interpret business objectives and negotiate favorable results
- Strong business and financial acumen with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proven expertise in Project Management, Business Planning, Strategic Planning, and Change Management
- Demonstrated leadership in delivering on revenue and sales strategies
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, comfortable working with ambiguity, and demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
- Has a University Degree and ideally, an MBA designation
- The successful candidate will have worked with the ELT, SVPs / VPs across TELUS in the same or similar capacity
Nice to Have
- Experience with Strategy Program Management
- Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions and Post Acquisition Integration
- Experience working within various internal teams at TELUS including TELUS Digital, TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods, TELUS Consumer Solutions and TELUS Business Solutions
- Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
