In a highly visible leadership role, the incoming Director will be responsible for bringing together stakeholders across TELUS Health to enable delivery for annual objectives within the Health Benefit Management (HBM) technology portfolio and drive amazing results for our organization and our customers.
This role will lead joint governance functions for the program management office between the Health Benefits Management Business and Technology teams Leadership with program tracking, value realization, and the identification of risks and/or opportunities to the appropriate governance forums, workstreams and teams. This leader will influence the build of a focused team to work with internal business leaders to organize and execute on defined work streams. This role will also ensure the efforts associated with this partnership are tightly coordinated and aligned with parallel efforts across TELUS Health and other initiatives that are linked to enablement across TELUS.
Given the enterprise level and breadth of this role, the successful candidate will operate in a matrix environment collaborating with a variety of stakeholders including members of the TELUS Health Leadership Team, the Chief Information Office and leaders and team members from both organizations. With strong business acumen and a highly strategic mindset, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual that is adaptable, earns trust quickly, and is not afraid to push for change or roll up their sleeves to execute on a robust plan. This individual has a proven track record of leading successful people, process and technology transformation programs.
The successful candidate will be an experienced leader ready for their next large challenge, bringing broad experience across a variety of disciplines including our customer facing business areas, enabling business units, and technology. Additionally, they will possess a robust business sense, having managed multiple senior relationships in complex environments. A successful leader will quickly build credibility internally with key functional players, and partner stakeholders by virtue of their background and their contributions.
What you’ll do
- Collaborating closely with the senior leadership team and key experts to ensure the HBM portfolio realizes its annual goals
- Partnering with internal teams to build an efficient governance structure and key performance indicators that tracks to program targeted outcomes
- Transforming the program management office in collaboration with other HBM teams to drive technology execution in alignment with the plan and key objectives
- Leading the development of updates and communications to stakeholders including members of the TELUS Health and external customers that reinforces a positive change management experience
- Anticipating ad hoc special strategic asks, working closely with delivery teams as required
- Creating a collaborative environment, interacting with a broad range of people to foster robust working relationships
- Inspiring and motivating team members to drive high performance, take calculated risks, and drive quality outcomes
Qualifications
What you bring
- 10+ years of combined corporate, and/or strategy consulting experience with significant exposure to the technology/health industries
- Experience in leading large, complex programs and efforts that span multiple stakeholder groups, including business realization and financial management
- Familiarity working in sizeable, complex, and multi-jurisdictional environments
- A robust business sense, and deep expertise in enabling businesses through an evolving technology landscape
- Proven track record of presenting to and interacting with multiple senior executives across all organizational and business lines; effectively addressing concerns and successfully delivering corporate agendas
