Here’s the impact we’ll make together

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with a broad understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and a keen interest in translating customer needs into managed cybersecurity service offerings. Reporting to the General Manager of TELUS Cybersecurity, you’ll lead a team of Product Managers and Technical Architects that partners with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to define service roadmaps and investment plans, adapting them as needed to meet the changing dynamics of our market.  To continue to expand the TELUS portfolio of cybersecurity services, you’ll work closely with partners to develop new solutions and will play a key role in our broader inorganic growth strategy.  


You are an accomplished leader with the ability to identify customer needs,  develop service roadmaps in a matrixed organization and collaborate across multiple stakeholders. If this sounds like you, we would be interested in learning more about you!


Here’s what you’ll do in this role:

  • Lead and motivate a team of cybersecurity product managers and architects in market analysis, customer insights research, technology assessments and trend analysis to identify customer needs, define solutions, build business cases, and launch new services
  • Identify opportunities to build, acquire and partner to increase market share through the expansion of our ecosystem of services 
  • Develop an 18-month rolling roadmap of cybersecurity services in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Operations to deliver a best-in-class customer experience using digital-first principles across all elements of the value chain
  • Monitor the performance of the portfolio across a set of KPIs, taking action as needed to ensure portfolio growth
  • Create and lead a diverse and highly engaged team that shares a passion for cybersecurity and supporting Canadian organizations



What you bring:


  • You have a strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity services, vendors and technologies across the entire NIST framework 
  • You are an inspirational leader and mentor, fostering high levels of team engagement
  • You are experienced at developing and executing strategies in large organizations and across multiple teams
  • You model transparency and information sharing, enabling diverse stakeholders and experts to overcome obstacles and roadblocks
  • You are an expert speaker, able to explain technical and strategic material clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization
  • You are an effective collaborator with the ability to influence all levels of management, cross-functionally and externally and to represent the company in commercial discussions  
  • You have proven experience in developing high-performing teams, a passion for learning and innovation and are solutions-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit
