We are looking for an experienced senior resource to help us migrate our current data translation and file integration platform to the cloud. You will also be responsible for future partner onboarding, support vendor software updates, and platform operations.

 

As a member of the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the product roadmap and projects pertaining to receiving, transforming and sending messages for financial AP and AR, logistic wireline and wireless, sales orders and invoicing with retailers, plus regulatory AS2 data transportation functions. You will create and maintain a prioritized product backlog.

 

You will provide solutions as a strong team player with a product centric mindset as part of a devops team.

 

As part of an experienced team of EDI professionals in a collaborative and dynamic environment you will lead the product roadmap for future direction and product features.
 
You will work closely with our EDI Business Systems Analyst and our business stakeholders across functional areas to ensure positive business outcomes are delivered.

 

The position leverages our workstyles program which allows for a flexible work schedule with the opportunity to work remotely based on alignment and agreement with your manager and alignment to TELUS policies.
 
What you’ll do
 

  • You will leverage your expertise to provide leadership to members of the team
  • Support a vendor software platform requiring in house development of data transformation processing
  • Identify the right solutions to solve security and software communication interactions
  • Perform all steps in an application lifecycle (waterfall, agile or hybrid): design, perform coding, package configuration compliant with the required development standards, prepare component and assembly test plans, perform component and assembly testing with multiple systems and implement solutions
  • Co-define and communicate the product vision, strategy and objectives with the development team and stakeholders ensuring alignment and understanding of the overall direction of the product
  • Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog by collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize items and ensure the backlog is refined and ready for development
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, business system analysts, application analysts, operation teams and testing specialists to deliver fully automated solutions that align with business objectives
  • Work directly with internal and external partners to ensure continued success of data transformations and communications between TELUS and our partners
  • Guide future data transformation standards used by TELUS
  • Support multiple secure software communication methods
  • Manage the creation and protection of application security trusts
  • Support the reliability of the production system

What you bring

 

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and a dedication to continuous learning and improvement within the team
  • Proven experience working effectively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships, and maintaining excellent interpersonal skills
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in programming languages
    • Experience with SFTP protocols and CA certificates
    • Knowledge of IP/DNS relationships and their interaction with firewalls to ensure secure data communication
    • Manage and support vendor-provided software, ensuring seamless integration and operation
  • Strong discipline in change management practices, ensuring smooth transitions and operational stability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and partners
  • Robust problem-solving and debugging skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • University degree in computer science or an equivalent technical diploma
  • Over 8 years of related experience

 
Great-to-haves
 

  • EDI ANSI X12 Data Translation using SEEBURGER BIS 6.7 or SEEBURGER BIS 6.5.2
  • DevOps and Agile Experience
  • Cloud architecture
  • Experience with AS2, GnuPG, VAN, UNIX Bash scripting
  • EDI experience with SAP SD, MM & FI, SAP RFC connection
  • Experience with Edifecs SpecBuilder Guideline feature

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its national scope. 

Salary Range:  $100,000-$150,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%
