The Financial Analyst III will support a recent TELUS acquisition and will focus on month-end activities, monthly forecasts, annual budget cycle, account reconciliation and prepare ad hoc analysis, covering all financial aspects of the business, including KPIs, full profit and loss (P&L), capex and balance sheet management. The analyst will also assist with the future integration of the financial systems of this newly acquired company into TELUS financial systems


We are looking for someone who has a strong sense of initiative and ability to work under tight deadlines and ambiguity. 


What you’ll do


As a member of the TBS PAI Finance team, you will:

 

  • Liaise with the acquired company to manage the Out of Footprint process, including uploading Trial Balances into SAP and collecting FTE count as well as any other necessary financial information.
  • Assist with month-end activities and prepare monthly reporting package with clear and concise commentary
  • Support the end to end monthly forecasting and annual budget cycle based on sound financial principles and expectations
  • Maintain multi-year business planning models, based on strategic direction of organization    
  • Complete ad hoc analysis as required to aid key stakeholder to make informed business decisions
  • Partner with BU primes and key stakeholders to prepare executive level presentations
  • Collaborate with the TELUS Post Acquisition Integration team to develop and execute the integration into TELUS financial Systems (SAP)
  • Identify and implement process improvements 
  • Assist with any other ad hoc projects as required

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant analytical experience in a finance/accounting position 
  • Offer insightful analysis to senior stakeholders to drive change and influence decisions 
  • Known for your collaborative spirit and ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment and build good working relationships to influence others at all levels of the organization
  • Respected for your result-driven mindset and ability to take initiative and ownership of issues and tasks through to resolution
  • Appreciated for your comfort and ease dealing with ambiguity and complex issues 
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Regarded for your exceptional communication skills and comfort presenting to an executive audience
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management, problem solving and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interpret complex data in a way that is relevant to the audience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and PowerPoint
  • University degree 


Great-to-haves

 

  • CPA accounting designation 
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Zoho

 

 

Salary Range:  $73,000-$109,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
