You will be an integral part of a team that works on IP, Transport projects including Core, Edge and Transport as well as Access (Fibre) projects. All of these programs play a key role in delivering TELUS services to its customers. This team is currently managing a multi-million dollar project portfolio with many sub-projects regarding construction of our core network builds. What you'll do
- Manage strategic projects that have consideration for time, cost and scope
- Collaborate with fellow Project Managers and lead regular meetings with cross functional stakeholders to resolve implementation issues, and develop action plans to improve the end to end build delivery of your projects
- Manage the quarterly budget plan with Project Managers and Inside Plant Planning
- Manage monthly variance with Project Managers; present Capital and Expense summaries at Capital Management Team meetings
- Manage Quarter End Monetary Review (QEMR), Capital Triage and Year End Monetary Review (YEMR) process and provide financial estimates as required
- Manage all financial program reporting ad hoc requirements
- PMO Program update (monthly) – PMO scorecard, cross functional scorecard
- Oversee and follow up on team performance re: AUC, hard stop, stale commitments, stale reservations, on time ready for service delivery, cycle time
- Involved in process improvement initiatives as assigned
What you bring
- As a collaborative communicator, you are able to take initiative and liaise with all levels of management and key internal stakeholders, and across functional teams
- You can make a presentation to leadership and have great facilitation skills
- You have demonstrated the ability to analyze data effectively to solve problems and support informed decision making
- You have solid knowledge of project management methodologies, principles and practices, along with knowledge of capital and operating budget planning, execution and reporting
- You have a solid understanding of Telecommunications: both on Inside Plant and Outside Plant Technologies and Processes
- You have advanced knowledge and skills with MS office, Google tools Suite, Tableau including capabilities to produce presentations, charts, graphs, pivot tables and data models including analytical tools (such as formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions
- Degree (Engineering or other)
- PMP designation
Great-to-haves
- Relevant IT certifications, or equivalent designation will be an asset
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will be an asset
- Bilingual (English and French)
- SAP knowledge including a strong application in developing and managing project Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operational Expenditure (OPEX) budgets
