Here's what we'll accomplish together and the impact you'll make

 

The BRE team plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional end-to-end customer experience for TELUS wireless and wireline products and services. We collaborate extensively with external partners, technical teams, go-to-market teams, and operations teams to support our business goals. In this position, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive impactful cross-functional capabilities within the realm of payments

Leveraging your strong business and technical knowledge of products and services, you will be responsible for developing new enhancements by taking ownership of the entire lifecycle from ideation to execution. With your collaborative and engaging approach, you will bring together all stakeholders to drive product innovation and develop prioritized delivery roadmaps. Your contributions will help evolve our suite of marketing products and services, as well as our overall Product Management approach.

 

Here’s how

 

  • Manage the full end-to-end enablement of new products and/or services, from concept through to design, development, testing, and launch
  • Own and execute payments and subscription-related projects, while maintaining flexibility to support additional strategic initiatives aligned with evolving business priorities
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders across business units to ensure cross-functional alignment
  • Be a customer experience champion that helps Marketing to solve business problems
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and the liaise between technical and non-technical personnel
  • Build out executive-level progress updates and regularly present to senior leadership
  • Complete capital management activities, including requesting for project funding and managing project budget
  • Drive innovation and new product features to address market needs, user requests and product goals
  • Work collaboratively with our stakeholder business units to identify and prioritize strategic and tactical initiatives and solutions that have the potential to create competitive advantage
  • Keep informed of emerging marketing capability trends and develop forward-looking strategies and practices

 

 

Qualifications

 

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

The ideal candidate:

  • A product/service development Guru, with experience in writing user stories, reviewing technical solutions and test plans, launching products, and defining post-launch support models
  • This comes from being highly self-directed and thrive in a matrix, collaborative environment, with the ability to lead cross functional teams, set priorities and manage time efficiently
  • Has a solid background in being able to leverage data analysis to derive insights, track key performance metrics, and make informed decisions about feature improvements to help with TELUS's customer experience journey
  • Is able to move fast, and are skilled at using a combination of collaboration, influence, and creativity to overcome barriers hindering progression whilst also being adept at building out a long term roadmap, leveraging a test and learn approach to help inform it
  • Is recognized for using data to drive decisions and action and as such are very comfortable communicating at all levels (senior leaders, external stakeholders, partners and developers)
  • Manages ambiguity and synthesizes complex information into meaningful conversations and recommendations comes easily 
  • By nature you have a technical inquisitiveness, and are willing to get into the details of a solution to the degree that you can own the solution as the business prime
  • Instinctively you are able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • 2+ years of experience in hands-on product development, working with both modern and legacy technology
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in business, engineering, science, marketing, or telecommunications
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry would be an asset, as well as payments and/or subscriptions domain knowledge
  • MBA, PMP, Agile, or Process Management certifications would be an asset

 

 

Salary Range:  $82,000-$124,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
