This is an exciting opportunity to join the Advertising Team in the Connected Products & Experiences (CP&E) business unit as part of Consumer Home Solutions. This team bridges the business and technical worlds as we design, build and enable advertising opportunities that provide great user experience for customers while achieving the best business outcomes for TELUS. As an Audience Monetization Specialist, Advertising Solutions, you will help create, maintain and improve the brand new TELUS’ first-party data offering for the media industry. You will be working closely with internal teams to build efficient sales products and strong market strategies designed to last.

Responsibilities

 

  • Drive product strategy and roadmap development for Telus' data monetization initiatives in advertising, leveraging first-party data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create targeted audience segments using internal data sources.
  • Liaise with the privacy team to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and develop consent management strategies for data monetization.
  • Act as an industry leader by proactively gathering and sharing insights, impacts, challenges and potential solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and communicate TELUS’ strategic advertising business to the market value to build client relationships, and provide guidance to potential and engaged clients, tailored to their needs.
  • Get sales teams and clients excited about what you’re working on by owning core product messaging and go-to-market strategy
  • Participate in data modeling and pipeline implementation to support different business needs such as reporting and audience segmentation

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, data analytics, statistics, computer science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working with consumer data, segmentation, and driving/executing media plans; experience with a major publisher, media agency or digital advertiser preferred. 
  • Familiar with Digital TV, Connected TV, Video, DOOH, Native and Display media – alongside custom executions
  • Hands-on experience with digital advertising platforms: Ad Server, SSP/Exchange, DSP, DMP/CDP
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python and common data analytics tools. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and must also be a logical thinker with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • A passion for technology, entertainment and the digital home in general with inquisitiveness and curiosity to learn more
  • Curiosity, open-mindness, collaborative thinking and energy to get things done

 

 

Salary Range:  $104,000-$156,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
