This is an exciting opportunity to join the CSD AI Innovation Hub within Customer Solutions Delivery (CSD). We are a dynamic and agile team revolutionizing field operations by designing data-driven AI solutions that improve OpEx, sales, billing and other metrics across our national technician workforce. You will join a team supporting highly visible programs and key deliverables that are transforming the telecommunications business model.


 
What you’ll do


 
As an L4 Data management team member of the CSD AI Innovation Hub, you’ll play a pivotal role in determining the viability and success of our programs. Your ability to coordinate between stakeholders and technical teams will be essential in ensuring the execution of projects that deliver tangible value to the organization. You will leverage your expertise in data science, data engineering and web development to provide insights that increase operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement, ultimately realizing value for TELUS.

 

  • Leverage exceptional SQL skills to source data across on premise and cloud systems
  • Lead initiatives to explore and validate data to determine the viability of AI Hub projects
  • Engineer efficient pipelines that regularly transform and ingest data that can be consumed by applications and workflows
  • Support the development, validation, and deployment of AI/ML models
  • Design and maintain data analytics dashboards that track the success of AI Hub programs and enable business stakeholders and field managers
  • Create actionable insights and reports to support strategic decision-making by leveraging the latest data visualization tools
  • Orchestrate hybrid data organization and migration

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with enterprise data, and driving/executing on initiatives
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python, cloud platforms (GCP) and source control (GitHub)
  • Experience with RDBM systems (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and OLAP systems (BQ)
  • Expertise in building data pipelines leveraging ETL/ELT concepts, logging/monitoring and DevOps that manage CI/CD via IaC (Terraform, Pulumi) and cloud tools
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills

 

 

Salary Range:  $104,000-$156,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
