We are the Business Intelligence team, a vital component of TELUS Business Marketing. Our agile and entrepreneurial group is dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of Canadian businesses across Small, Medium, and Large segments. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, we are seeking a Senior Manager of TBS Data Systems and Sales BI to lead a team of talented BI professionals. This role is crucial in shaping our data strategy and driving Wireline and TBS Sales business performance.

 

What you will do: 

 

1. Leadership and Team Development:

 

  • Build and lead a high-performing team focused on developing Wireline data assets
  • Foster a culture of curiosity and innovation, encouraging team members to challenge the status quo
  • Oversee the delivery of capital projects and critical data infrastructure

 

2. Data Strategy and Implementation:

 

  • Champion TBS Wireline transformational projects by evolving our data strategy
  • Develop and execute a roadmap to enhance Wireline top-line and bottom-line performance
  • Lead the evolution of TBS sales team performance metrics, integrating sales activity with core business outcomes

 

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

 

  • Partner with CIO teams and TBS system teams to address data requirements and deliver critical capital projects
  • Collaborate with business experts, internal BI, and MI teams to drive business value
  • Work closely with product teams to ensure reporting readiness for new product launches

 

4. Delivering and managing core data highways:

 

  • Develop and maintain foundational Wireline data assets for timely and reliable business insights
  • Enable comprehensive sales performance and compensation data across all business segments
  • Present progress, learnings, and wins to the leadership team

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring: 

 

  • Proficiency in analytical tools including GCP Big Query, SAS, Oracle, SQL, and experience with diverse database systems and Salesforce CRM
  • Proven track record in B2B environments, preferably in telecommunications, technology, or similar industries
  • 7-8 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence or Marketing Intelligence roles
  • University degree in Engineering, Marketing or a related field
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and mentor high-performing teams
  • Experience in navigating large, complex organizations and managing cross-functional projects
  • Expertise in agile methodologies with a bias for action and a test-and-learn approach
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills

  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights

Salary Range:  $110,000-$166,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  20%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
