As the Manager & Creative Director of the DOT Comm Creative Studio, you will lead a talented in-house team of designers, content strategists and copywriters in shaping the customer experience across our digital consumer storefronts. You will champion brand storytelling and commercial performance, ensuring every creative touchpoint — from product landing pages to conversion-driving banners — inspires confidence and drives action.
This is a leadership role that requires deep design sensibility, a sharp eye for creative detail, strong understanding of ecommerce UX principles, and the ability to guide and mentor a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Creative Leadership
- Inspire and lead a high-performing team of designers, content strategists and writers creators to deliver friction-less, persuasive and assistive customer journeys.
- Transform business objectives into innovative concepts, removing blockers and setting priorities to bring bold ideas to life across TELUS digital platforms.
- Redefine and scale content development processes to ensure high-quality, impactful deliverables while balancing speed and efficiency
Strategic Collaboration
- Partner closely with Digital Sales, Product, and Technology teams to enhance TELUS Web & App experiences, shaping product roadmaps to meet strategic goals.
- Participate in planning sessions to ideate go-to-market strategies, clarify objectives, and align expectations.
Brand Stewardship
- Evolve TELUS’ ecommerce brand expression and design system to create cohesive, engaging, and conversion-driven experiences that strengthen brand perception.
- Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional teams to deliver brand-aligned campaigns and uphold creative excellence across all touchpoints.
Team Management & Development
- Mentor and develop a team of creatives, fostering a culture of craft, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide thoughtful feedback and coaching to support creative growth and professional development
Operational Excellence
- Optimize workflows and resource allocation with Digital Sales, Digital Product and Digital Content Ops teams for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive standardization and rapid deployment of high-quality content, leveraging AI and automation to future-proof scalability and enhance creative output.
Qualifications
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
- 8+ years of experience in digital design or advertising, with at least 3 years in a leadership or art direction role.
- A portfolio that showcases best-in-class digital creative for ecommerce or performance marketing (web and app).
- Strong conceptual thinking and visual storytelling skills — able to bring ideas to life that balance brand integrity with commercial impact.
- Expertise in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, JIRA, Adobe Creative Suite) and experience working with headless CMS’ like Contentful.
- Experience directing photo/video content and writing or editing copy for digital channels is a strong asset.
- Confident communicator with the ability to present and sell ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative, empathetic leadership style — you thrive in cross-functional environments and lead with curiosity and clarity.
- Passionate about emerging tech, especially AI and automation, and its role in modern content delivery.
Preferred
- Experience in telecommunications, ecommerce, or large-scale consumer digital platforms.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards, localization workflows, and multivariate testing in content.
- Knowledge of content strategy, personalization frameworks, and customer journey mapping.
