As the Manager - Information Services, you’ll lead a diverse team and foster a culture of ownership to ensure our solutions achieve strategic outcomes. Enhancing delivery speed and product launches, you will collaborate with our leadership team and key stakeholders across all business levels and the CIO. Your success in this role will hinge on your ability to build strong and authentic relationships and ensure our platforms provide an excellent user experience while meeting business goals
What you’ll do:
- Establish a clear vision and structure, empowering the team to confidently execute their responsibilities
- Create an inclusive work environment where team members feel comfortable sharing challenges and failures, fostering mutual growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with the CIO to deliver creative solutions that meet business outcomes and direct investment towards modernizing our platforms
- Leverage best practices in software development to deliver incremental value and optimize benefits realization
- Support the team with regular leadership updates on inflight projects
- Embrace change to respond to evolving market conditions that impact project priorities
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Degree or equivalent in Computer or Information Science
- Familiarity in DevOps practices to enhance collaboration, accelerate time to market, improve quality and reliability, increase efficiency, enhance security, and ultimately deliver a superior customer experience and competitive advantage
- Product Owner certification and active practitioner with experience in different software development methodologies
- 5+ years of progressive experience in software development
- Curiosity - comfortable challenging the status quo and asking “why” to support continuous improvement
- Creativity - able to view problems from different angles and find “common ground” across a diverse team to gain support and adoption
- Flexibility - ability to work with a diverse technical team and adjust to unexpected changes while balancing risk and progress
- English language both verbal and written
Great-to-haves:
- MBA and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Bilingual (English/French)
Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
