As a RAN Capacity & Analytics Manager, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the wireless user experience by planning TELUS' network capacity. What you’ll do
Lead and Develop Your Team
- Manage a team of RAN engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure aligned network strategies
Optimize Network Capacity During Peak Hours
- Develop and implement strategies to manage network capacity during peak times, ensuring consistent performance for all users
Ensure Network Reliability During High Traffic Events
- Plan and execute network capacity enhancements for large-scale events such as concerts, sports games, and festivals
Enhance Performance Modeling
- Develop sophisticated models to predict and analyze network performance across various metrics: upload and download throughput, latency and voice service quality
- Utilize advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy of these models and translate model insights into actionable strategies for network upgrades
Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Develop long-term capacity plans aligned with TELUS' network evolution strategy
- Create and present regular reports on network performance, capacity utilization, and improvement initiatives to senior management
- Budget planning and resource allocation for network expansion and upgrades
Qualifications

- Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of RAN and Open RAN technologies, network capacity, AI and machine learning
- Leadership: Visionary in network technologies, strategic planning, and digital transformation leadership

- Operational Excellence: Experience in automation, project management, and risk management
- Business Insight: Customer-focused approach, understanding telecom trends, cost optimization, and aligning initiatives with business goals
- Bachelors Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working in telecom industry performing RAN capacity or optimization roles

- Certifications: Specialized certifications in network technologies and executive leadership.
