Position Overview:

 

We are the Intelligent Mobility team within TELUS Business Solutions, accountable for accelerating the growth of our core capabilities and creating new solutions for in our portfolio.

 

The Manager – Products & Services plays a pivotal role in leading the design, execution and analysis of our market strategy. In this role, you will own the development of user stories that utilize our core capabilities and ensure we introduce solutions that support our customers with their transformation journey. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with sales, sales support, value chain, marketing, product, and 3rd party partners to develop the strategy and execute Go-to-Market.

What you’ll do in this role

 

  • Lead a team up of to six people, including coaching, performance management, succession planning and recruitment
  • Assesses and maintain competitive intelligence on the vertical markets, partners and competitors’ products
  • Identify and make recommendations related to products, business requirements and internal processes so to quickly adapt to changing markets and evolution of customer needs
  • Apply design thinking to solve customer needs and develop a winning strategy
  • Develop and implement an effective and realistic product strategy and tactics related to product introduction, product lifecycle, placement, promotion, service guidelines, partnerships and client needs
  • Work closely with our customers, marketing, and technology strategy teams to establish product roadmaps to build new and enhance existing products
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of product performance in relation to sales and marketing objectives, financial and operational performance and the competitive environment
  • Developing, managing and optimizing end-to-end value chains with accountable sub-process owners; Respond to production and service delivery issues and ensure resolution in a timely manner
  • Prepare and deliver customer, training and executive presentations on your product lines
  • Use likelihood to recommend, primary and secondary market research and review of
  • competitive landscape to recommend solutions to better support and/or reposition existing or new product
  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams across all business units to manage margin, enable product/service delivery, methods to better support products, and support the delivery of integrated customer solutions through the effective influencing of stakeholders
  • Analyze and anticipate market, customer, regulatory, and technology trends; collaborate across the stakeholder groups to adapt products accordingly

  • You are able to develop relationships with key internal and external contacts, and ability to work within and lead teams
  • You are a go-to, valued for your industry subject matter expertise
    • You regularly resolve issues in creative ways and are able to develop integrated solutions. Your background may come from Fleet Management, Asset Management, Compliance Needs or Managed Services
  • You are known for best-practice development, maintenance and optimization of end-to-end value chains associated with TELUS (or other organization) products and services
  • You have a talent for writing business cases and have knowledge of financial concepts including revenue, costs, profitability and financial analysis

 

Great-to-haves

 

We are especially motivated to connect with individuals with one or more of the following:

 

  • Familiarity with design thinking process
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of experience in product management and service development

 

 

Salary Range:  $100,000-$150,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  20%
