We are in search of a high-performing, results-oriented leader to champion purchasing and strategic inventory planning across our national network, ensuring operational excellence at every touchpoint.

 

In this capacity, you will inspire and mentor your team using a culture of ownership and empathetic leadership. You'll own strategic vendor relationships with OEMs and distributors, mobilize collaboration across internal stakeholders, and ensure the seamless delivery of TELUS solutions. Your leadership will optimize supply chain efficiencies and foster cross-functional alignment.

What you'll do:

 

  • Inspire, mentor, and lead your team while fostering a culture of ownership and engagement
  • Champion team members' personal and career growth to support evolving TELUS needs
  • Shape the future direction of Supply Operations through strategic input on purchasing and inventory managementDrive continuous improvement initiatives that eliminate inefficiencies and enhance operational excellence
  • Execute best-in-class supply chain management techniques that exceed customer and market expectations
  • Own end-to-end forecasting and planning for all materials supporting TELUS' Commercial Security and Business Solutions portfolio
  • Ensure timely equipment availability for regional warehouses, Field Services partners, and Operational Implementation Managers through proactive vendor relationship management

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • 7+ years of supply operations management expertise with proven success
  • 3+ years of meaningful team leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement initiatives with measurable results
  • Deep expertise in purchasing and inventory management systems, KPIs, and S&OP processes
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities
  • Track record of driving operational improvements through inspiring leadership and process simplification

 

Great-to-Haves:

 

  • Professional Supply Chain Management certifications (APICS CSCP, SCMA SCMP)
  • French language proficiency

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

 

Salary Range:  $86,000-$136,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
