As the Manager of the SASE DevOps networking and technology professionals who collaborate across multiple business units to enhance customer solutions and develop new offerings. You will have the opportunity to create and communicate your strategy and vision while leading a team that is passionate about technology. At the same time, you will foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity and high team engagement that is key to our award-winning culture. 

 

Supported by the Director of SASE DevOps CoE, you will:

 

  • Use your expertise in cyber defence, software-defined networking and enterprise customer requirements to evolve our business strategies with a deep focus on data analytics and automation
  • Innovate with emerging technologies and cognitive analytics to progress network and security capabilities 
  • Partner closely with managed networks and security services customers to understand and assess their business requirements, security risks and threats, and design and deliver industry-leading solutions that meet those customer-focused outcomes

What you'll do

 

  • Foster an inclusive culture and inspire a diverse team with your excellence in communication, strategy and vision. Listen to your team, motivate and engage them, and provide leadership, support and guidance on performance, development and career growth
  • Be our customers’ trusted advisor by partnering closely with them to understand their business requirements, assess risks and threats, provide analysis of trends and deliver effective outcomes 
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for network and security capabilities across domains such as SD-WAN, SASE, SSE, MDR, EDR, Cloud/Streaming Data Analytics, and SOAR
  • Collaborate, partner and influence senior leaders and stakeholders across business units to gain advocacy for multi-year roadmaps and investment strategies that that will protect TELUS and our customers
  • Foster and enhance relationships with trusted industry and cybersecurity information sharing communities
  • Blend data, insights and storytelling expertise to design and deliver presentations and updates to executive leadership teams

Great-to-haves
 

  • Broad knowledge of cybersecurity threats and issues, detection and response technologies and security controls across multiple domains
  • Understanding of on-premise data centre and hyperscale cloud platforms
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration
  • 3 to 5+ years of distinguished experience leading cross-functional teams in security operations, incident response, threat intelligence and/or security data analytics
