The Porting Team plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless customer experience by managing the transfer and activation of phone numbers, toll-free lines, and analog services with precision and care. As a Network Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing number porting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. You will manage both Port-In and Port-Out requests, collaborate with internal and external teams, and provide exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of your work.


What you’ll do

 

  • Receive, review, and process Port-In and Port-Out orders
  • Handle requests for new DIDs, toll-free numbers, and analog lines
  • Submit porting requests and manage activation based on scheduled date/time
  • Execute after-hours ports when required (scheduled at least two weeks in advance)
  • Work within key portals such as OneVoice+, i800, NPAC, SOA, and other TELUS systems
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with: Implementation Managers, Provisioning and Support Teams, Customer Service and Account Managers
  • TELUS Partner Solutions and other internal departments
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation and logs for all porting activities
  • Ensure all requests meet required service level agreements (SLAs)

 

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple ports on varying schedules
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

 


Great-to-haves

 

  •  Previous experience with number porting, telecommunications, or provisioning is an asset
Salary Range:  $53,000-$79,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  10%
