TELUS Health Care Centres (THCC) is hiring Casual Registered Nurses (RNs) in Ontario to support our growing IV Infusion/Therapy Program. This role requires strong clinical expertise, including emergency/trauma experience and advanced IV skills. You will be part of a dynamic and compassionate team delivering personalized, high-quality care across our Executive Health programs.

 

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Deliver IV infusion therapy as part of a specialized clinical program for patients receiving IV medications including, but not limited to, IV iron, IV biologics, and IV bisphosphonates.
  • Assess individual patient needs and develop tailored care plans
  • Perform comprehensive health assessments and health counseling
  • Manage potential infusion reactions in collaboration with the NP, adhering to clinical protocols. This may include, but not be limited to, anaphylaxis, bronchospasm, rash, vasovagal reactions, and anxiety.
  • Triage acute concerns, offer anticipatory guidance, and coordinate care
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care
  • Maintain and apply in-depth knowledge of clinical protocols and medical directives
  • Uphold safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing practices
  • Accurately document and communicate using EMRs and other digital tools
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

 

 

What You Bring

 

  • Registered Nurse (RN) designation in Ontario, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • BScN – Required
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in an Emergency setting (preferably in public or private healthcare settings)
  • Emergency or trauma care experience – Required
  • Expertise in IV management/therapy – Required
  • Experience in IV infusion programs – Strong asset
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different clinical settings
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

 

 

Nice-to-Haves

 

  • ACLS certification
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and digital health platforms

Salary Range:  $32-$59
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  0%
