This is not your traditional HR team - we embrace change and have fun reinventing the future of work. We are as passionate about our team as we are about our business, and we thrive on thinking outside the box, delivering in new ways, and supporting exceptional team member experiences.

It's an exciting time to be a member of the People & Culture (P&C) team, leading strategies to strengthen the TELUS culture with cutting-edge initiatives and programs. Through our technology innovation, we are creating a stronger and more caring world by enabling remarkable human, social, and business outcomes.

As a P&C Business Partner Consultant within TELUS Health Employer Solutions, you will be the dedicated end-to-end people partner for Directors managing Absence & Disability Management, Workers' Compensation, and Safety operations. You will serve as their trusted advisor, culture champion, and hands-on problem solver, seamlessly moving between long-term strategic people priorities and day-to-day operational support. This role demands someone who is equally comfortable shaping a multi-year talent strategy as they are navigating a sensitive employee relations matter with care and precision.

Here's how

  • Serve as the dedicated P&C Business Partner for a defined Director-level leadership team, providing end-to-end strategic and operational people support across the full employee lifecycle

  • Lead annual P&C programs including year-end compensation planning, performance calibration, and merit review processes in partnership with your Director team

  • Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning cycles,  identifying high-potential team members, building talent pipelines, and advising leaders on development strategies

  • Champion and support AI-driven people initiatives, helping leaders understand and adopt emerging tools and practices that enhance team productivity and the employee experience

  • Analyze engagement survey results, partnering with leaders to design and implement meaningful, measurable engagement action plans

  • Translate HR analytics, including talent movement, attrition, and performance data into actionable business insights and data-driven recommendations

  • Coach and develop Director-level leaders on people leadership capabilities, change management, and team effectiveness

  • Manage employee relations cases with discretion, ensuring fair process, thorough documentation, and alignment with TELUS policies and provincial employment law

  • Partner with Legal, Labour Relations, and other internal stakeholders to manage sensitive legal files, including human rights complaints, workplace investigations, and accommodation requests

  • Advise and support leaders through performance improvement plan (PIP) processes — from initial documentation through to outcome, ensuring consistency and fairness

  • Provide real-time coaching to leaders navigating conflict, difficult conversations, and team dynamics challenges
