Position Overview:
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for North America payroll administration, delivering excellent support and impeccable customer service to approximately 5000 + employees. You will put your best foot forward by helping –

Deliver superior team member experiences by providing payroll expertise and guidance to all of our stakeholders

Bridge the gap between system and people by being the business process expert of the various HR tools we own and providing ongoing coaching to our payroll and benefit administrators

Bring a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and implementing process improvements

Ensure the integrity of our overall data through audits, automation, and a relentless focus on safeguarding the quality of our work
What you’ll do
Reporting to the Manager of Global Payroll Operations and, you will bring your A-game by:

Assisting the timely processing of all aspects of semi-monthly and weekly payroll in North America WorkDay & Ceridian Dayforce. This includes but is not limited to day to day processing, ROE prep, and responding to general ledger inquiries.

Performing professional analysis of payroll related transactions

Prioritizing and responding to second tier employee inquiries in an effective manner within established SLA’s

Assisting with year-end government filings

Participating in peer audit/review of payrolls being processed by team members and collaboratively communicate issues as appropriate

Participating in special projects as required

Assisting on other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
What you bring
-
Minimum of 1 year payroll experience working on both federally and provincially regulated Canadian or US payrolls
-
Knowledge of payroll related taxation rules/ laws
-
Proficient with MS Office applications, specifically MS Word, with an intermediate to advanced level of experience with Excel
-
A high degree of comfort with technology, with a desire to learn
-
Experience with payroll software, such as Ceridian Dayforce, (WorkDay would be considered an asset)

Possess excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with multiple levels of management within the organization

Strong analytical and problem solving skills dealing with regular and complex problems
-
Skilled at handling confidential information using tact and discretion
-
Deadline driven, resilient and able to work well in both structured and unstructured environments
Great-to-haves
-
Post-secondary education in Human Resources is an asset
-
CPA/PCP/CPP/PLP/LAP designation would be an asset
-
Bilingual in English and French, both written and oral, is considered an asset
