Description

 

TELUS is seeking a dynamic and experienced P&C Operations Manager to join our innovative People & Culture | HR Operations team. This role will be instrumental in driving our digital team member experience evolution through process education, optimization and automation.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage all time-related business processes and lead and develop a team of skilled resources
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with payroll, benefits and team member lifecycle experts
  • Partner with our systems team as a requestor, liaison UAT tester, and change management SME to deliver defect fixes, system enhancements, and process automations
  • Monitor and validate time-related master data across our HRIS and Payroll systems to ensure accuracy
  • Drive the concept and accountability of the time administrator role across TELUS
  • Guide and support time administrators to drive excellence in time management processes in their respective business areas
  • Provide robust time change management and knowledge repository content to support the time administration community
  • Partner with P&C Operations leaders and teams to educate and support all cross-functional time processes
  • Oversee employee records management to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Be an active participant in our P&C Operations leadership team and the broader Total Rewards and People & Culture teams

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience working with various time management interfaces and systems, with an understanding of API integration concepts
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple terms that can be understood by TELUS team members
  • Strong understanding of provincial and federal legislation related to pay and time tracking and leave entitlements.
  • High level of data literacy to be able to drive action       
  • Proven experience in HR operations, particularly in the management of time administration  and employee records
  • Knowledge or management of HR records retention guidelines and data destruction/archiving
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent project management and process optimization abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Biased towards lifelong learning and development of self and others
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Bilingual in English and French, an asset
  • Certified HR Practitioner (CHRP) designation, an asset

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners...), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders...), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its scope.

Salary Range:  $95,000-$143,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  20%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
