The Revenue Operations & Pricing team at TELUS Health is a dynamic, results-driven, and highly collaborative group. We are looking for a Pricing Analyst who will report to the Manager, Pricing and support the development and execution of strategic pricing initiatives that drive our revenue growth. In this role, you will work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to analyze market trends, set pricing strategies, and ensure alignment with revenue and profitability goals while maintaining governance.
What You’ll Do
The Pricing Analyst is a key member of the Pricing team, responsible for driving pricing decisions that optimize profitability and competitiveness within the marketplace. This individual will analyze complex pricing data, develop pricing models, and work closely with cross-functional teams (including Sales) to implement and refine pricing strategies across product lines. The Pricing Analyst will play a crucial role in identifying pricing opportunities, ensuring data-driven decision-making, and supporting strategic initiatives that align with the company’s financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pricing Strategy Development: Develop and implement pricing strategies and tactics that maximize profitability while maintaining competitive positioning in the market.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large sets of sales, market, and competitor data to identify trends, patterns, and pricing opportunities. Utilize advanced Excel, SQL, and pricing tools for in-depth analysis.
- Pricing Models & Forecasting: Build, maintain and update pricing models to predict the impact of pricing changes on revenue and margin. Provide ongoing forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions. Benchmark pricing against competitors and industry standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, product management, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives. Ensure effective communication of pricing decisions across departments.
- Revenue and Margin Optimization: Identify and recommend pricing adjustments, promotions, and discount strategies that optimize revenue and margins while balancing customer retention and profitability.
- Pricing Governance: Ensure compliance with pricing policies, pricing integrity, and support the adherence to approval requirements.
- Reporting & Presentation: Prepare and deliver detailed reports and presentations to senior management, outlining pricing analysis, performance, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, finance, or a related field, with a strong understanding of pricing strategies and financial modeling.
- Experience in a senior pricing role within a similar industry is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, etc.).
- Experience with pricing software or analytics platforms is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and metrics.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
